Very good report. It's not about politics, it's about the household budget. The consumer has no duty to spend recklessly. Since 70% of the U.S. economy is centered on the consumer spending the government should have paid more attention to them. Blame it on the banks and big business who benefit the most always.

One thing they don’t factor in is customer service. Self checkout revenge. I go into a store to get service from knowledgeable people, that is the value I seek. No customer service I had to Amazon. Retail needs to bring back customer service and well trained staff not gimmicks and tech. People should matter both the customer and the employee.
