Man - I've had limited success with MSIX :( It seems like it has a limited use case but I might be missing something. The office apps (click to run) can't be packaged, I think - or they couldn't previously unless that changed. About half the apps I've tried to package using the tool you're using fail to work properly, like most Adobe apps. And apps that need to interact with other apps, or databases on the host are problematic inside a container. I hope I'm just missing something obvious because app attach is an awesome concept!

How does this work if your app has data connected to it. i.e an accounts package that has a list of clients on the main home screen, that you have to select and that list is controlled by default by a file on C:. Users can add new clients, which adds an entry into the file on C: - AppAttatch wont work for this right?

Great stuff. As I understood correctly, MSIX app attach is currently not supported for Entra Domain Services. are there any plans to support it in the near future or if it is in the pipeline for development?

Thank you for yet another informative video. I was just thinking of trying out app attach, but it seems like that "App Attach" option under AVD > Manage isn't there in my tenant so I can't try it!

Hi Dean. Do you have any experience in leveraging MSIX to work with FSLogix? I'd like to retain user settings that, for example, write to %appdata%. Maybe this would reuiqre redirecting this to the real %appdata% outside of the VFS?

Hi, I was trying to setup Appattach with Kerberos Authentication but getting the Vdisk not found error even after giving all permission. does that mean Kerberos does not work for Appattach and storage need to be configure with ADDS authentication ?

Quick question: After I added the packages to app attach, it somehow does not display in the overview of app attach, although I can add the packages to an application group, any Idea why? Maybe a preview bug?

If I create the MSIX packages and update them on the host pool, and then I find that the application has a bug preventing users from accessing it, is it possible to revert to the previous version?

It looks great, but there are some issues with older program, i made 10 MSIX package, but only 8 of them worked, after plenty of troubleshooting I had to go back to using a golden image for it to fully work.

Hello Dean, Can I use powershell to create the cert for me ? Will that Certificate work or do I need a Enterprise CA for this ? When creating app attach I am getting an error saying it failed expanding app attach package.

I try appattach and got a strange thing happend. maybe you can guide me. I notice that I need to be in local admin group for being able to start software. If I'm not part of local admin group I have error "windows connot access the specified device, path, or file. You may have the appropriate permissions to access the item. What is wierd because in simple user are able to list / read the folder of my appattach software. thanks for your help
