Haitian migrants in Ohio feel threatened in US presidential campaign | VOANews

In the U.S. presidential election, Republican candidates have spread false claims that migrants in the Midwest state of Ohio are eating residents’ pet cats and dogs. That has led to security threats and more divisions in an election where immigration is a central campaign theme. VOA Correspondent Scott Stearns has our story. Videographer: Obed Lamy.

If I went to any country to live, I would do my best to avoid committing any of their cultural taboos, or breaking any of their laws. Why is it OK for citizens from other countries to come here and continue life as usual? I'm sure not all of the Haitians are so brash, but the ones that are gotta go. Stealing people's pets is messing with their family. It isn't right by any sense.

I worked with a Haitian woman in the 1980's..she was lucky enough to get out..she said she lived on slurry..with is earth mixed with water and wild birds she caught in traps..she told me you will eat anything to survive and I believed her..
