Speaking as a parent, this is mainly a replacement for the quest 2, my son has sold his quest 2 to buy this quest 3s

Why we are having storage issues in 2024 with such cheaper storage is bonkers. I firmly believe they are intentionally Limiting storage just to make more money. No reason we can't have 1tb in everything nowadays

My niece comes over to my house when I babysit and every time she asks for my quest 3. I'll definitely be getting her a quest 3s for Christmas this year. Hopefully I can snag a black Friday deal on it to make it even cheaper

You don't need a passthru button on the Q3 because you just doubletap anywhere on the headset to do that.

At budget upgrading from the quest 2 as an adult. This feels good to me. I don’t have a problem with fresnel lenses and really won’t understand what I am missing until I actually look through pancaked lenses. Keeping the operating system up to date so I can do what I want with it feels important and I am looking forward to better pass through.

Nice review. FYI the Q3 does have a way to switch between MR and VR. You tap the side of the headset or the plastic part where the strap connects twice. No button needed. I think the Q3S got rid of an accelerometer that detected the taps.

I sadly don't have the budget for the 3.But I also have never owned a vr headset. This will be my first time trying it! If i really enjoy it i can then def wait for the new generation of headsets to come out

I found a sandisk ssd 1tb around 100 usd so why does the 3s 256 gb why is that 100 usd more for 100gb a dollar for a gigabyte is alot

On the quest 2 you can touble tap on The side of the headset and u will be in ur passtrough and back. So the button is pretty unnessesary
