I'm a millennial and I honestly want this more than the new iPhone. Heck if u dial 411 on the phone they'll add numbers to your phone book, text someone for you, or even get you a lift or order food for you

FYI. My 82 yr old mom first tried the new Jitterbug Smart. She was attracted by the "smart" feature but ultimately switched to this. A very brief reason for not liking the Smart. Very large. Probably too large for most woman. Not usable with one hand. Very easy to misdial or touch the wrong keys. Absolutely terrible battery life. We even had it swapped with a replacement thinking it was defective. Nope. Not even a full day on a charge and the theSamsung made phone is not capable of changing the battery. Most folks who buy these phones are going to challenged in some ways. Always having to remember to charge is not with the risk of not having communications due to it being dead.
The Service provided by Great call is very good and we have no complaints about that. They did just downgrade the non emergency phone service support so you will be on hold. On the plus side if the user or family member has internet you can do a most things online like add or changes contact and med info etc.

How do i STOP the side buttons from turning the ringer volume down?
When my mother picks it up she presses the side buttons and turns the ringer volume all the way down it is so frustrating when im trying to call her and she can't hear it ring because of this flaw in the design

I tried to have my new Jitterbug Flip activated, and the agent was not able to do it. Half way through the phone just got stuck and advised to go to a certain phone number.

How good are these cell phones like seriously. It seems like a lot of people prefer these then your smartphones. I was thinking on February 1st maybe I should get one myself. My contract runs out the end of January and I'm not going to renew it it's too much money. Not only that but I'm on a fixed income I'm on disability and I get so much a month and by having a smartphone half my money runs out before the end of the month and I'm stock. Anyway it seems like a lot of these cell phones here are a lot more less expensive and fordable. Definitely thinking about getting one on the first of the month.

My mother got one today. I helped her set it up but it won't let you put more than one phone number on a contact. You would have to do separate entries to home/cell/work. That's not impressive.

When you flip it open you hear dial tone.
It’s fake but for parents it’s perfect. They know they can make a call.

It’s obvious that this reviewer hasn’t tested this phone in the field. Customers across the country have been waiting for months for a software update to fix a MAJOR problem with the phone—garbled and staticky reception. Do not buy this phone without looking at the consumer reviews on other sites! It would be a great phone if it actually worked, given it’s user friendly features. But it does not, you will find out for yourself if you do your homework.

I found this Jitterbug to be a terrible, unreliable phone. I had a medical emergency and the 5-star emergency feature FAILED! The phone frequently fails to operate. Jitterbug replaced the phone but I still have problems. I can't begin to note the number of times the phone had failed to give me a dial tone, and every time I call for service, they tell me the internal programming has a bug. BUT, they never fix the bug . I've had many cellphones in the past and none were this problem-plagued. I'm 81 and wanted the medical emergency 5-star feature. What a disappointment. I wrote to the CEO of Jitterbug/Great Call, but neither he nor and of his subordinates ever replied.
