We’ve only seen three of yoda’s species, we don’t even know the species name so they may be able to be on the dark side Edit: 4, there’s also Master Vandar but debatable whether he’s canon

Force choke... isn't a dark side power.
The person is just utilising the force to strain or squash the opponents throat or windpipe, just like any other object.
We also see luke do this in episode 6.

Edit: i know everyone in the replies is saying that it was only by people tapping into the dark side of the force, but I interpret that as being dark reprocussions for evil deeds... which is the whole concept of the dark side: you get more seducted by it the more you use it.

Yoda actually i forgot where I heard it but he humored count duku once when the count tried turning Yoda to the darkside . Yoda then asked what is it like what can the darkside give me that I do not already have ?. He then got duku irritated . Yoda decided to become full darkside for like a minute or so just to show duku how outmatched he was then he went back to the light . Yoda showing duku just how easy it is to let go of the dark and such . Star Wars is a wonderful example of human morality . In this world their are a lot more sith then their are Jedi .

I like how Yoda's dark side tells Yoda that he doesn't play with him anymore. Take that as you will be I like to believe Yoda actually dabbled in the dark side for awhile before ultimately deciding to dedicate his life to the light side
