How to deactivate automatic parking brake-PEUGEOT RIFTER/CITROEN BERLINGO/OPEL COMBO/TOYOTA PROACE C

Deactivating automatic operation: In some situations, for example when it is extremely cold or during towing (caravan, recovery), it may be necessary to deactivate automatic operation of the system. 1. Start the engine. 2. Apply the parking brake with the controllever, if it is released. 3. Take your foot fully off the brake pedal. 4. Push and hold the control lever in therelease direction for at least 10 seconds and no more than 15 seconds. 5. Release the control lever. 6. Press and hold the brake pedal. 7. Pull the control lever in the application direction for 2 seconds. Deactivation of the automatic functions is confirmed by illumination of this indicator lamp in the instrument panel. 8. Release the control lever and the brake pedal. From now on, the parking brake can only be applied and released manually using the control lever. Repeat this procedure to reactivate automatic operation. Reactivation of automatic operation is confirmed by the indicator lamp in the instrument panel going off.

The procedure is the same for the Peugeot Rifter, as well as the Citroen Berlingo III, Opel (Vauxhall) Combo, Toyota Proace City Verso and Fiat Doblo.

To turn off the parking brake after parking manualy but to have the automatic help up to hill or to turn off the parking brake kompletely without help up to hill?

If possible, how to permanently deactivate lane assist. It is active be default and must be deactivated manually every time the engine is turned ON. It is a PITA on small roads.

Písnu to ještě česky. Je to fajn, ale přijdete o všechny funkce automatické ruční brzdy. Tedy jak pomoc při rozjezdu do kopce, tak automatické odbrždění při jakémkoli rozjezdu, je-li parkovací brzda zabržděná. Stručně - stane se z ní obyčejná manuální ruční brzda, jen ovládaná tlačítkem.
