What a great way to make it so you're never getting that nail out without getting to the other side and creaing a lot of extra work for yourself. Even if you did manage to pull it through, it would take a lot of extra effort, time, and you'd end up messing up the board quite a bit.

Why would you ever drive a nail through a single piece of dimensional lumber? This doesn't even make sense. Wrong size nail, useless "hack".
There are times we'll drive nails in at an angle to better hold two pieces of dimensional/structural lumber together, like when an 8d nails are too short and 16d is too long but that's why 10s and 12s exist this is just stupid.
