These are lovely combo amps that get killer tone out of any guitar. Simple and still versatile. I compared it with the Mark V, both the combo and head+ cab, and the TC delivers what you're looking for without a struggle. Maybe the Mark V is a great amp. They certainly sound good in demo videos, but I couldn't dial in what I wanted. So the TC won.

Does this come stock with el34 and 6v6? (for the tube swap switch). Or do you need to swap tubes to get the reduced power mode?

There are better amps out there for that price range. I bought one and I just want to get rid of it. No bass on channels 2 and 3 until you crank up the gain. Effects loop is useless, reverb changes tone of every channel in the amp and really only sounds good in channel 1. Hard to get pedals dialed in with this amp also. The solo boost function is cool and the channels do get good tones but you really gotta dial it in. Also I hear the cab clone thing is garbage.
