Many guitarist will probably say, the channel 2 and 3 sound a bit compressed...but, I, for one, love that. At first, I wanted the JP2C, but couldn't really justify spending $2.5k since I just purchased a super nice LP for around the same $$. Now, this Boogie has the exact sound I'm after. Will definitely save up for this beast!!! Love it!!

i just got the combo and love it. very versatile. just because metal players love these amps, and for good reason, by no means are they a 1 trick pony. clean with reverb is fantastic. blues sounds great. classic rock? absolutely. channel 2 tight mode with gain round 2 o clock=instant acdc. oh yea metal sounds great. ch 3 has gain for days. this amp is good for any style from mark knopfler to dimebag darrell and beyond. great amp

I bought one and love it. I think it is the most versatile amp head on the market. I feel I have it all in one head. The price is great as well. I think I paid around 2, 200 U.S. for it. I run it through a @X 12 Mesa cab. I like the @X12 better then the 4X12. That is just my preferance.-In addition the ability to acces the FX on the sootswitch is very improtant to me.

Which cab is that? The standard or the rectifier traditional?

Were all three microphones used on the cab? If so, what models?

Sounds wonderful! Good job, Mesa! But I suspect the Les Paul has something to do with it too. What exact model is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Anybody know where I can find a metal head review of this amp? I play hardcore/death metal and every review I watch they say it "gains up nice" like this guy and then just play some bluesy leads lol. I WANT TO HEAR RIFFS AND CHUGS ON THE GAIN CHANNEL DANG IT NOT JUST OLD MAN ROCK LEADS

and... this amp has NOT shaken anything up. It's another attempt from Mesa to get something that'll hold out there like Rectifiers, but nope.

The Sherlock Grid 30 or FAT Head smashes this amp out of the park for tone and versatility at half the price and hand made by Dale. If you're an Aussie then support the locals.

Seriously, can no one on YouTube make a good demo. I randomly click on all amp reviews, most of the time I never land on them playing, it's people talking. Then the fucking stupid clean, crunch, lead progression in the review. 1% come for a Mesa clean review. Seriously guys. Lead channel at 4:40 into the God damn video.
