Setup AirTag With iPhone, iPad in Two Ways 2024 [Beginners Guide]

Connect or Set up a new Apple AirTag with your iPhone, iPad in two different ways. Connect AirTag to Apple ID account and Track Item on Find My App. First, we can set up With AirTag Popup on iPhone and Also set up AirTag without Setup Popup when AirTag Popup won't open or Detecting.

This my New Two AirTags.

Here's my Plastic covered AirTag, Pull the Plastic Tab from AirTag carefully, After successfully remove the plastic cover, you will hear an alert sound from AirTag.

That means your AirTag is Ready to set up. Now hold your AirTag near to your iPhone. also Make sure Bluetooth is turned on from the control center.

if your iPhone doesn't detect AirTag that is away 2 inches or 5 centimeters from iPhone. then Lock the iPhone and unlock it to rescan the AirTag. Or Use Second Way to set up your iPhone given in this video tutorial.

Here my iPhone successfully detected AirTag after unlocking the screen, Tap on the Connect button on Popup.

Next, you can select AirTag name that's relevant to the item name. here I'm selecting for umbrella and Click on the Continue option.

Also, confirm the personal information that is attached with your Airtag and really useful when Airtag is lost with an item.

Once you confirm your Apple id and password, click on the continue button.

That's it. Now you can use your AirTag with Precious direction on Map, Checkout the list of iPhone model that is compatible with Precision finding feature.

Also, you can play sound, Track the location of your AirTag with the item using the Hey Siri command.

Tap on done. and Complete the setup.

Let's Quickly check-in Find my app and Setup another AirTag using Find My App.

Here's my Find my app and Go with the items tab from the bottom side of "Find my" app.

Here's recently setup AirTag, yeh, here's another AirTag popup that is detecting. But I am closing it and Setup using the Find My app.

In find my app, under the items tab, See the option for Add New item option. and Tap on it.

Again from the popup Tap on Add AirTag option.

Now, your iPhone will search new nearby airtag. Sometimes it will take some time. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your iPhone.

And yes, here I am detected a New AirTag with a popup. Follow the same steps to Connect your AirTag with your Apple ID.

For this AirTag I am giving Custom AirTag name, Last option is Custome Name, Select it and Tap on the Continue button.

Enter an AirTag name that's easy to remember. here are some AirTag name ideas. Also, you can add Emoji in the Custom name.

Once again verify your Information that is your mobile number and apple id.

Tap on the continue button and Process to the next on-screen instructions.

Finally Tap on done. Now, Find my app is showing two AirTag. Tap on Name to See the Option for, Play Sound, Directions on Apple Map, Enable Notifications, Lost mode and Rename AirTag name and Remove AirTag from Apple ID.

When you Tap on Play Sound, You will hear AirTag lost sound. if Your AirTag is not nearby then Sound goes to Pending and Apple Will notify through notification as it found on Mac via Other apple devices.

I'll have to visit Apple again. I have a Tag which connected to an iPhone 10 and although the Tag can be seen it will note play back a sound. So deleted it from the Phone. Tried connecting it to an iPhone 13, which already has one Tag working, and that phone doesn't not see the new Tag. Could the Tag be fault?

My Airtag just stopped working one day. I replaced the battery but that was not it. I eventually figured it it was due to not accepting the latest Terms and Conditions for iCloud. WTF? I wasted $10 for a new battery for nothing.

Basically OK, some diction problems, but still basically clear. HOWEVER your subtitles often block the lower part of the phone including the very button being referred to. OOPS
