We integrate tan2x using change of variables (u-sub). Once we rewrite tan(2x) as sin(2x)/cos(2x) we can take care of the integral by letting u = cos(2x) and proceeding with a standard change of variables. #apcalculus #calculus1

Where does sin and cos come from. Just seem strange that someone somewhere thought such a function that cycles could be useful.
