Anakin Skywalker. Darth Vader. Lucas wasn’t lying when he said Star Wars was a Shakespearean Galactic Soap Opera about the tragedy of Darth Vader. A truly beautiful story of love, hope, loss, corruption, evil, and redemption all found within one man. Anakin, I think, represents the human experience as a whole. The embodiment of something good corrupted by evil but never truly gone.

I watched Star Wars for the first time last month. And from what I got from it is that it’s the the Jedi’s fault he went to the dark side. All he wanted was fir them to trust him and help him with his visions. Even when he told mace that palpatine was the emperor they still didn’t believe him. So he turn to the only person that would help him. The Jedi are dicks.

anakin, he was always a slave... to watto, to the jedi, to expectations of the prophecy and then finally to palpatine. and he finally broke free from the prophecy, he was no longer the slave, the jedi or the dark lord. he was just anakin

A man who lost himself so much, he forgot how to breathe on his own, in an instant remembered himself, when he learned he wasn’t forgotten. Caring and love can change everything, it’s the only way that truly leads from the dark side😊

The fact that Palpatine had planned this from the start was the best story writing of evil I’ve seen. The torment and pain that Anakin went through for it to all be out of his control hurts me. I will never not cry at the story when I think about it or watch Revenge of the Sith. Outstanding story and lore.
