My grandpa used to work on big equipment for the mine and he was always able to get ahold of some of the inner tubes of the tires. We would blow those up and take those down the snowy slopes around where we live. They could pick up some great speed and also have a darn good bounce if they would hit even a pinecone!

Here in southern West Virginia we used to ride old car hoods down the old slate dump and abandoned mine access roads. Good times

You gotta drag a little the opposite side to steer. Not too much. Just drag till it starts turning then stop. If you over drag you'll end up over steering or spin "sled" around. We use ice sleds to haul gear in and out in winter. I pack so I can sit on middle of sled. Use my heels to drag steer. ❤ hard on the cleats tho, so take them off first.

Back in the 70's, I saw a Ford LTD pulling a small flat bottom boat down Icey roads in Smyrna, TN. It was funny watching the kids when the car would stop the boat would try to run up under the back of the car. You looked like you was having fun.

We used the old maytag warshing machine's lid as a sled. When we got back to the house, maw whoopped us good cause it was made of aluminum and it was all bent up, but we did have a good run down the lane. I laughed so hard at your antics. Thank you.

I thought, for sure, there would be a scene with you waxing that boat before it went flying 😂 LOL, happy holidays from PA.

lol! Try a plastic laundry basket! Or an old tractor tire. Then you can go found and round as you slide down, two for one!🤗❤️🐝

When there's a will, there's a way! We used to use inner tubes if we didn't have enough sleds.

The fact that you don’t have at least 5 million subs is a testament to the horrible direction Our society is heading.

I’m laughing at myself. I thought it was going to be a video about old time slides like we used behind our mule to haul heavy loads over the ground. Yours looks to be a lot more fun but have you ever seen a mule run pulling a slide with 2 boys screaming for him to whoa. It’s an exciting ride to say the least.

We use to use tin roofing that came off of barns and sheds and had some wild rides too. Then someone came out with those saucer sleds and lot of us got hurt with them things but each year we tried whatever was available and had more wild rides. Thank God I have finely out grown my need for speed but I still watch those who still try anything. Have you ever tried to see how many you can fit in Uncle John flat bottom boat and gone down the drive in it on fresh snow? Just giving you some ideas. Fred.
