The 2 Muscles That Cause You Lower Back Pain ❌

Показать описание
Two of the most important stabilisers in the human body - the QL and the gluteus medius.

These are two muscles that need to work together in order for your hip to have stability, strength, mobility, flexibility, proprioception and so on and so forth.

What happens most of the time though, is your Gluteus medius ending up doing less than the QL, which then leads to other issues. There could me many reasons as to why this happens, but the main reason would be the fact that we don’t challenge the Gluteus Med as well as we should.

The QL on the other hand, is constantly challenged.

One of the best things to do, in order to establish a better connection between these two tissues, is a variety of single leg exercises and movements.

Working on your unilateral proprioception is going to really allow the Gluteus med to fire and the QL to help out.

The other really important factor is core stability. Working on your ability to engage your intrinsic core muscles and stabilisers will help take some of the load off the QL muscle.

This way your spine will be far more balanced and protected.

That’s exactly where I felt a sharp pain while deadlifting the other day. Pt gave me hip flexor exercises to start and I’ve felt relief from it 😊 crazy how the body works

Interesting. First I’ve heard someone speak of this. Always wondered why that part of my glutes felt so tight and sore. Always dig my knuckles right in that spot

Side steps with resistance band around legs sorts this out for me. And diagonals too.

Wonderful. I'm a massage therapist and always work on gluten for lower back.. but realized for my own lower back pain its not just glutes but my TFL and quads are tight from standing all day and past chronic sitting.. when I get massage done, others are so lazy and horrible about it. I got great results laying on my foam roller for 2 hours on my TFL and quads on both sides and my Orb for deep glute work. Love your anatomy software

This is me. I knew I had to do something about it when I went to get a massage hoping it would help and it killed my back!!! The pain was unbelievable. It hurts to sleep sometimes too. Always postioning myself. I sit at my job though and I'm bending over all the time chest almost to my knees some days. I believe that has alot to do with it. 😫. Thanks for sharing. I need to get back to my stretches!!!

Your video literally scribbled on the bits that are hurting me right now since I got up off a chair earlier. The pain was instant and I still cant put my weight on that side. I had the latissimus Dorsi moved into my breast after breast cancer 14 years ago and I now have weakness in my shoulder neck and hip on that side

I did a very long drive of 12 hours and I’ve been dealing with pain for the last 4 weeks. I’m a very healthy man but that drive really messed me up. Started with low back pain and now it’s in my upper butt/hip so here we are. It’s so painful it wakes me up at night

As soon as I went back sitting at my desk this problem came up.
I’ve since had to use a hockey ball to roll out my glutes

Putting pressure on the butt triangles and rubbing the back triangles is helping me get rid of the pain

Damn this accurately describes what I was experiencing before. I had a PT consultation and they didn't perform any tests whatsover and diagnosed it immediately as a herniated disc when they learned that I go to the gym frequently. I did 6 sessions of therapy with the clinic and I always felt that the sessions didn't help as they were pinpointing on the parts of my back that are irrelevant to my painful areas. I asked a friend who's another therapist and told me that maybe I need to just strengthen my glutes, since I don't really train them directly ever. Guess what? I've been training them for 2 months now and the pain I've been experiencing before slowly disappeared.
