There were three in there I didn't know. Thanks for the info!!
I always refered to their CBS era as the "Couldn't Build Sh*t" era.😬✌

1:54, Leo WAS a musician, played Saxophone and took piano lessons as a youth, just didn’t play guitar. His senior high picture shows him holding his Sax.( see “ Fender 75-years “ and other books).

I recently learned that the Hawaiian originated company, Servco, owns Fender. Servco has been known for selling cars here in Hawaiʻi for many years. I learned this while shopping for a used car earlier this year. I wanted to make sure Servco was a locally owned company. It was important to me that I supported a local company during this pandemic. The other company that had a car I was interested in is a VERY LARGE mainland based company. Although I am not a big Fender fan or user, the Hawaiʻi ties are interesting.

One viewer certainly approves of the Roger Moore eye-brow raise from the thumbnail! 👍

I appreciate the history. Thank you. The only thing I question is that we are playing the instruments wrong because of Leo’s love for Hawaiian music. It was my understanding that Leo was focusing on the Country music scene and going to clubs to get the guitars in the musicians hands.
Another part of history that could have been brought up is how close Leo was to making a deal with “Les Paul”. Rumor has it that the two didn’t get along that well and Les went with Gibson.

Knew about CBS and some other items having grown up during that time. Don't know about heavily relived, but those vintage & authentic are pretty awesome.

Great info! One minor criticism is that the 2nd and 4th positions on the pickup selector of a Stratocaster does NOT select two pickups together. "out of phase". Technically, the signals are not out of phase. It's a very common thing to say, and I don't know who spread that idea. They just have different tonal qualities, and you are blending them. Since you are correcting misconceptions, I thought you'd like to add that to the list. Cheers.

I have a strong feeling that the Fender Stratocaster got its name from the harmony stratotone that came out a couple of years before the Stratocaster was released. Still absolutely a space age name for sure, either way

The 1954 Stratocaster is a timeless design. I can't think of anything else from that era that's still around and useful.

Do you guys still have that beautiful candy red Meteora?
....one of these days maybe.

Here's a really obscure Little known fact: the tuning keys buttons on 70s Strats are chromed over white plastic.

I am very good at relicing my own Fender guitars. Wish I would stop dinging up my expensive instruments!

They own Gretsch, they didn't need permission to use Broadcaster this time.

I'm not buying anymore Fender guitars from online dealers. I've tried 3 times sent them all back because of bad manufacturing quality control. And I'm talking about high prices US models.
