Thank you, John and Mary, for writing the first book I read on the subject, "The McDougall Plan" in the early 80s. I decided to do Macrobiotics which is vegan, but just to say, I couldn't get the idea that the potato was something I could adopt. I had struggled with my weight my whole life, and still thought I knew more. You were right. In the long run, after using dairy again, I eventually returned to the McDougall Plan as I found myself again fat and sick. Now I'm carrying 80 lbs less and have overcome a lot of health concerns. Thank you again for saving me from myself. Lynn

I read your book 6 years ago but listening to these videos totally encouraged me to get back into starch solution full force! I have lost weight, feel more flexible, and my skin looks so much better! Just by cutting out oils and prioritizing starches. Thank you for hammering it into our thick headed skulls 😄

Tip: If you want to make a low fat peanut sauce I recommend using powdered peanut butter -- it has around 90% less fat compared to regular peanut butter without sacrificing creaminess or flavor. (I've made this low-fat version on top of an asian stir-fry with some teriyaki sauce and it was heaven!)

@1:10:20 I am insulin resistant but love and eat potatoes, beans, corn, and peas on my weight loss journey. Learning that carbs improve insulin resistance is encouraging.

January 2025 today. From time to time l still come back viewing all these videos on the starch solution that l have learned from just to refresh myself. So good to know that l understand the importance of this message. lf I'm able to find the starch solution way of living, so can others. Folks need to get onboard

The potato is a staple in India along with rice. As are chickpeas and chickpea flour A billion plus population that is predominantly vegetarian
