That's what I usually eat daily.. lots of boiled or baked potatoes with broccoli and peppers ((with some seasonings like chili/garlic/onion/cayenne powder added to the dish). Sometimes I'll just have plenty of potatoes and nothing else or maybe add fruit. I've noticed that everything tastes different afterwards. Most unhealthy foods either taste like a chemical or rotten. It's weird. My gray hairs are turning dark brown/black again too.

I went from 190 pounds to 160 pounds in four months. Eating all potato diet, sweet potatoes, and regular potatoes. My friend told me I wasn’t going to lose weight eating that many carbs. While they were eating bacon and hamburgers, and chicken And steaks their weight stayed the same and they were calorie restricting I ate until I was full twice a day, and the weight fell off. I’ve never been a breakfast person. I like to have my lunch between 11 and two. I wake up around 5:30 in the morning the last thing I’m thinking about is food.

Potatoes calm my digestion with their prebiotic fiber. They also lower my A1C. I'm trying to stay low-oil or no-oil as a diabetic, as fat/oil keeps my blood sugar high. Staying on high starch (potatoes, rice, oats) and veggies has allowed me to lose weight. There is a small amount of oil in a plant-based diet. I use the potato water (after boiling potatoes) in my vegetable soup. I respect your persistence in staying on unseasoned potatoes for 5 days. I think some would appreciate pepper and a little salt, especially as potatoes have potassium to balance the sodium.

I'm trying to swap all my carbs to potatoes instead of bread, rice and oats. Whilst I only ever have wholemeal bread I found it was never that filling and the calories were off the scale. Every day I stick to potatoes (as well as green veg and some lean protein), I'm less hungry, bloated and I'm getting a lot leaner

Great video man. I did this for 6 days once and used it as a launching point to start a whole food plant based diet. Like you, I was interested in the flavor reset, which made going to the wfpb way of life easier when I broke the potato fast. I lost weight fast on the taters and continued to lose weight on the wfpb way of eating but much faster on the taters. My theory on the getting cold part is that so much fluid and inflammation comes off of u that u are not running hot all the time. On days 2 and 3, I was pissing so much but not drinking any more water. I now follow the "starch solution" plan and mostly eat UNPROCESSED starches like beans, rice, and more potatoes.

I eat potatoes twice a day, but i add seasoning and no oil. I usually have potatoes for brekafast and lunch and then a nice whole foods vegetarian low fat dinner. I have been eating like this for a couple months and i have lost 13 pounds.

I ve done this for one year in college because I didn t had any food. No big deal if you like potatoes . You lose weight indeed.

I'm committed to begin my potato reset journey starting tomorrow. I attempted in the past, but barely lasted a day or so. I'm not going to quit this time. I'm doing this for two reasons: to conquer food addiction and to drastically improve my health. I'll try not to focus on weight loss as that's going to follow anyway. This will help me shift into a whole food plant based lifestyle. Wish me luck. 😀

No need to eat bland potatoes. I eat it with broccoli and add a small scoop of cottage cheese and garlic...lost 5 pds in 10 days with moderate exercise; on day 22 and now down 9 pds total.. I'm now almost at my ideal weight..

There is no question Dr. McDougall has helped many people. Early research on the potato diet dates back to at least 1920. The only problem I have with McDougall is that he shames people for eating meat/fish. Funny thing…his science is dead right but he and his wife look at least 15 years older than they are. Is it their genetics or following a diet with no oil? Bottom line: his “diet” saves lives and gets people out of pain. Tough to argue with that!

I love potatoes 🥔 and I'm definitely gonna give this a go as some kinda reset for my gut, I'm wfpb anyway but I have flip flopped from vegan to Pescatarian over the last 2 years but I'm now wfpb for life now.
