When he invited his gun he thought that Will stop all wars because nobody is insane enough to run in front of machine gun fire .

They’re not to blame. Guns don’t kill people. People kill people. Ronald Regan had this mindset when it came to foreign policy and it’s called “peace through strength”. I show you that I have bigger muscles that could destroy your army in an instant and you back off and comply to my commands.

Their inventions were used cruelly but I don't think it's entirely fair to blame it on them.

I wouldn’t honestly blame the first guy, he most likely wanted to make a weapon to defend, and protect people. Not specifically for the war, murdering, etc.

Its a suppressor you could never make a gun silent

People seem to hate on guns a lot. Yet in the united states, they're used defensively between five hundred thousand and three million times a year. Machine guns have been used in war to defend countries as well. Yes, they've murdered a lot of people, but they've also saved lives. The Allied powers used machine guns to defeat Hitler were those machine guns right or wrong? The fact is all they did was make an object, it's people misusing it that makes it evil. If I went out and bought a machine gun which I can't legally do, and I only used it to shoot paper targets for fun because I enjoyed it, and I enjoyed the recoil. How would that be wrong? It wouldn't be, so it's the action and intent of the person wielding it more so than the weapon itself is what is wrong. An evil person can kill just as many people if not more with a rented u haul truck as a machine gun. Evil in the hearts of man, this is the real issue.

if they didn't make the machine guns someone else would've, the concept of "throw as many bullets down range with a single weapon" had been tested multiple times throughout the history of guns, it was only a matter of time before someone made it

Suppressors have done much more good then bad, it doesn't make the gun silent just quiet enough to not make you go deaf

This weapon may have taken countless lives, but it also no doubt has protected countless lives 🤷

At least the son was thinking on saving ppl's hearing rather than ending their lives.

To quote a certain villain “everyone creates the thing they dread men of peace create engines of war”

I have, I have also heard of his son. Hiram Percy Maxim did a lot more than just invent the silencer. He was a licensed Amateur Radio operator and was one of the founders of the American Radio Relay League which still exists today. Also it's not pronounced like He-Man.

Don't blame them, blame the people using them 4 violence.

Well, those same weapons are also saved countless lives. That’s not forget that.

Well i believe these break throughs, dispite the weapons being used for death, could lead to appliances that could very well be used in different ways, a fast paced Soda dispencer ( not that fast) or even a way to quietly transport fast trains to less annoy people by trains
