This is doomed to fail unfortunately because of the pricing. This was one of their best selling cars in the previous generation but making the middle ground more crowded by introducing the ZR-V (US HR-V) when they already had the HR-V was in my view a mistake. If they hadn't introduced that the CR-V would be priced where the ZR-V is in the range, which would be the correct price level for this car.

Just put a hybrid Elegance model on the road for circa £40k so ignore the list prices. Deal also includes a 5 year warranty and 5 years servicing so given I was offered an equivalent Tuscon or Sportage for about £40/month less excluding servicing it’s not such a bad deal. The car is also noticeably bigger and more spacious than those other two cars. Works for me

One of the top-selling cars in the US even with higher pricing - they must be doing something right. I’ve driven it - super happy with the drive and the refinement. Well worth the price IMO.

Honda's pricing strategy is disappointing; they are selling the same car in China for about 30% of the price it costs in the UK.

Great review of the new Honda CR-V hybrid! The combination of sleek design, hybrid efficiency, and Honda's renowned reliability makes this SUV a top contender. The review highlights how well-rounded the CR-V is, from its comfortable interior to its advanced tech features. It’s exciting to see Honda continue to innovate and improve on an already excellent model

I took delivery of this car last week. Mine is Sports L hybrid. After 408 miles later, I need to refill the tank . Amazing car. Ride quality, handling, gas milage all superb. It is a shame Honda does not include onboard navigation, tonneau cover, and lane change camera in the States.

What's so hard about designing simple things like rear headroom in a big car?
It's obviously as hard as rocket science for the designers of the Honda civic.

Civic has the same interior. It's high quality and very refined ;). The best on the market, people say. Of course, the prices of the cars are different. It's also good to remember that the CR-V is a bigger car than the others mentioned in the video. Also, other brands do not have starting price model with hybrid and four-wheel drive.

After all these years the Honda doesn't have a gearbox, it seems hard to tell. 8 speed eCVT does give wrong information once again. No gearbox, no CVT, electric motor pulls and fixed gear. That's a fact!

You didn’t mention that the “entry level” Elegance model has a panoramic sunroof and a power tailgate, and of course AWD. Also full leather seats, rather than suede/faux leather in the cheaper Sportage models.

To get the equivalent hybrid Kia Sportage you will need to spend over £40, 000 on the GT-S version. And this won’t include the wireless ventilated phone charger with Apple/Android CarPlay. which is standard on the CR-V.

So it’s not really fair to compare the price of the CR-V Elegance with the cheapest Sportage, which has none of these features.

As you pointed out, the CR-V is also just a bit bigger than the Sportage, with a bigger boot and a higher driving position. And IMHO, Honda build quality is second to none, including the Volvo XC60 and Lexus NX that I drove, both of which have small boots, lower spec and prices starting north of £50, 000.

I’ve just bought my third CR-V. The previous two were traded in with 94, 000 and 55, 000 miles, and in both cases I was very pleased with how they had held their value. So this was one of the factors in my choice.

Oh it’s an amazing car. Two weeks not once been to the petrol station. Air con everyday and Sydney traffic. It’s a credit to Honda. If you’re tossing up between Rav and Honda. Hands down without a doubt the better option is this. Amazing.

£46k and you can still see the paint on the inside of the doors

Was looking at one of these in a dealer. Love the new design language, but the Bonnet to Windscreen length was just too long. A bit like parking a Transit van for length. The infotainment display is poorly laid out and of poor quality for such a pricey car.

Interior is about 5 years out of date, screen is too small, quality is poor. Honda has got the pricing completely wrong too.
