And sometimes if you're going too fast and the lights turn red you can extend the distance for a smoother brake. This doesn't apply to every country but I do wonder sometimes why some countries even have yellow light when it appears for less than a second.

I cannot get over how my examiner mashed the brakes in the middle of the road after I emerged out of an open junction. I looked before I emerged out and this guy run for the brakes for no reason. He screamed at me telling me
I didn’t looked right. Nothing was coming besides the car that was in front of me Turing right whilst I’m turning left. Even when I looked right the car was still blocking the junction. At one point I thought something was running into my front why he did it but nothing… My instructor was with me on the test and told him he was dead wrong for that because it’s an open junction. He failed me right there, with 0 minors. I’ve been actually depressed ever since. 90 seconds away from passing.


Update: I’ve passed my driving test in March !! 0 minor.

For those who don't know, there are road works and they've put down new bitumen. The road probably had lots of pitholes and uneven road that can cause accidents.
The road guys are waiting for the bitumen to dry and set, so they can paint the lines on. Those ticket things are reflective for drivers but are temporarily marking the lines.
Drivers need to look out for roadworks.

Crossing the line is automatic failure in Canada during the driving test. (At least it was when I took the test. I passed but heard stories of friends failing)

We REALLY need to do better with repainting our road markings in this country. It's so stressful as a learner not seeing road markings properly because they're so faded.
