Living Water: Applying solutions at scale

Dr Katie Collins Freshwater Techincal Advisor (DOC) and Sarah Yarrow give a presentation at the NZARM conference in 2022 about the overarching lessons Living Water has learnt from the 10-year partnership:
1. It's not just a drain, it's home to native biodiversity
2. It's bigger than any individual farm
3. Science provides data but people make choices

The project team has co-designed an implementation guide and catchment plan that meets biodiversity outcomes, restores mahinga kai, improves water quality and continues to provide drainage to the catchment.
