Everyone's favorite honey-loving bear is the star of a new slasher film, but the real horror is the movie itself.

I don't know why but hearing dan saying the movie sucks and then continues slagging it right off is like music to my ears.

“Contrary to what people say about me, I do know how to have a good time.”

Aww. Dan! Of course you do!

Thank you for suffering through this movie so we don’t have to!

Hi there! I live in Mexico and saw this movie a couple of weeks ago. I convinced my wife to watch this based upon the idea that we were probably going to watch one of those “so bad it’s funny” movies. I was sorely mistaken. I don’t mind if a movie is “bad” but gives you a memorable experience. Unfortunately this movie’s crime is that is just plain boring, badly paced and doesn’t even have the courtesy to try new things; just leans on the ip recognition to get butts in the seats.
I share your pain man. It’s one of the few movies I’ve seen in theaters I wish I hadn’t.

Ah...miss these Dan Rants. Been some time. LOL. Thanks Dan for enduring this self-inflicted pain. 😂👌🏽

Agree 100%. The movie studio really didn't appreciate my review and statements that echoed everything you said and tried sending the indie horror community after me. lol

Given everything you just said, it'd be great if you created a section to discuss underrated and/or unnoticed horror films. You could even use Shudder as a starting point, and I'm sure it'd be a hit.

Just look at everything that happened with David Prior after Chris Stuckmann reviewed and recommended The Empty Man. I'm sure you can have an impact as well.

Anyway, kudos for going through that film on n out behalf!

This is exactly what I expected this movie to be. A run of the mill slasher flick where the novelty runs out as quickly as the movie starts.

"The person I'm angriest at, is me" is so damn funny, especially with the level of anger he said it with. Hilariously perfect review all around

I am literally not surprised in the slightest. The trailer looked like exactly what you described here.

I saw this as well. If this isn't the worst movie of the year, then we are in huge trouble.

I'm very familiar with this British production company. It isn't the first time they have made low budget features based on Public domain properties. Jack & Jill, Humpty Dumpty & Amityville to name but a few. Under $100, 000 ? Try more like $10, 000 . I actually think the re shoots made it worse ( The Christopher Robin stuff at the beginning) as it made it disjointed and pretty much zero characterisation for anyone in the movie. It went from being a bargain basement slasher quickie, to a confused bargain basement quickie

To your general point about the film: the producer on this does around 50 films a year between his three production companies. No, this is not a typo.

They lie to crew, don't have food or water on set, and everything is normally shot with two cameras, no proper lighting or lighting crew on set.

I don't know how they do editing, but the sound design and mix are normally done between 7 to 10 days.

So yeah, there is no time or will to make anything that they do seem reasonable, let alone good.

And oh, those numbers of horror films on Shudder, Tubi, or Amazon? A lot of them are from them.

The important part is, if you see something that looks like a shittier Asylum film coming from the UK? Run!

Oof! I was wondering if this was gonna be as bad as it looked. Thank you for giving me a classic Dan rant. Starting my week off nicely.

Thanks for taking the bullet for us, Dan! I don't know if you've seen Skinamarink yet but it might be okay that you missed it in theater as this may be a rare example where that is but the best viewing experience. The optimal viewing experience (if you can swing it) would be on an unmarked VHS tape that was passed to you by a friend who thought it was scary, who got it from their friend, whose mom/spouse won't let them keep it in it house, and they got it from a friend who found it in a box of VHS tapes in the woods. If you can't do it that way, then streaming it in a dark room with the volume turned high is also acceptable.

From the moment they announced this, I knew it could only be trash. Sacrificing everything to be the first post-disney Pooh movie is an awful way to make movies. There's not a chance I'll ever see this, but it does feel vindicating knowing I was right. Thanks Dan!
