0:30 Christopher hugging them like that it's at the same time adorable and extremely sad, considering how things ended

This sketched prologue is 10x better than the rest of the movie.

If the whole movie was animated in this style, I'd love it.

I actually love how they drew the characters in the opening in the style of the E.H. Shepherd illustrations.

2018: Christopher Robin leaves and they all stay the same
2023: Christopher Robin leaves and they all turn into bloodthirsty predators

This is the start of the movie and they did a greattt job with this traditional animation and narration considering how low the budget was.

At least they came up with a story, and it’s a sad one. The beginning wants me to see a prequel when they turned savage

Deep in the Hundred-Acre woods, a young boy named Christopher Robin came across some most unusual adolescent creatures. Crossbreeds, who some would describe as abominations. The creatures introduced themselves as Owl, Rabbit, Eeyore, Piglet and most importantly, Winnie-the-Pooh.

With the naivety of youth, Christopher ignored the dangers and befriended them all. He brought them food, and with each passing day together, their bond strengthened and grew.

The days turned to years, and with the years came maturity. Eventually, Christopher had to make the hard decision to leave his friends to attend college, to become a doctor, requiring them to fend for themselves once more.

Then Winter arrived. The nights were deathly cold with the land barren and completely devoid of food. One fateful night, on the brink of starvation, Pooh decided that in order to survive, the group must consume one of their dearest friends, and thus, Eeyore was no more.

The trauma of this act warped the minds of the group. They became feral and developed a hatred to all things human, and in particular, Christopher Robin for abandoning them.

A pact was made. They renounced their humanity, and returned to their animalistic roots, swearing never to talk again.

And it all went downhill from here. Seriously, this is as good as the movie got.

Plot hole: If they all starved without Christopher Robin, how were they alive in the first place before meeting Christopher?

As silly as this movie is, it is definitely disturbing to imagine this happening to the characters and gives me chills in that creepy pasta sort of way. So dark and tragic.

So if winter arrived and they couldn’t find food and that is what made them go crazy, then what did they do when winter arrived before they met Christopher Robin?

I'm not happy that they've turned this into horror, but I have to say that it has a lot of sense in this. The sheer amount of trauma that killing can cause can definitely alter both the mind and body, and I'm glad that's been made clear. The only reason I'd watch this is to see how they look into that idea that this kind of thing completely messes you up in every way.

I honestly liked how this flashback started and how it was drawn. Sure it was a bit cheap and creators were on a budget, but I thought what they did with this scene was creative.

I'd honestly be interested in seeing this backstory expanded upon. What these horror versions of the characters actually looked like as children.

My version of an alternative story with a shorter good ending:

One day, Christopher Robin reached the age of maturity and was preparing to enroll in college, but Christopher Robin had an idea: What if he invited his friends from the 100 Acre Woods to attend college together?

Christopher Robin: Hello guys, I'm recently wanted to apply for college but I had an idea that was a surprise for you, would you guys mind coming to college with me?

Winnie the Pooh: For real? Wow!

Rabbit: Amazing! We finally went to college together and travelled outside the forest!

Eeyore: I hope there are college students who can give me joy...

Christopher Robin: Don't worry, Eeyore! You'll be happy too in there!

Owl: That's a brilliant idea! I'm really want to pour my wisdom for every students!

Piglet: Why do you want to invite us to for study together with you, Christopher Robin?

Christopher Robin: I don't want you guys to be alone and not going through a terrible famine, and the winter in this forest is harsh and really makes all of you going crazy and hangry, so I want you to attend college with me and we can be happy again like we used to be

Winnie the Pooh: Oh, Christopher Robin, what a lovely friend you are!

A few months later, Christopher Robin and the 100 Acres Woods residents depart from the forest to their intended campus, and 4 years later, Winnie the Pooh with Piglet, Owl, Rabbit and Eeyore then graduated from college to get a job as a forest ranger, Christopher Robin also joined them as a veterinarian after getting married, and they have a happily ever after as best friends and a big family forever in their beloved forest

The whole time, the Winnie The Pooh Theme song was playing in my head

Honestly like the design of them in the drawing. It gives them a vibe of old gods or fae creatures.

I love this scene, I enjoyed every moment, it's something I haven't seen in an independent horror movie, it parodies Winne the Pooh tales very well
