One of my all time favorite chess commentary and instruction channels. Would be nice sometimes to see videos where the focus isn’t just on great chess games but also some direct instruction for beginners.

So before he says Carlson blundered I was wondering why doesn't he drive the Bishop away with knigh-g4?
I guess I found out

I love that part when I found the blunderred move and then realised. Love this channel, so much to learn.

He turned 13 three months before. He was not 14. And to all the people in the comments saying he was too weak, young or slow. Some short time after he drew Kasparov two times. A too young or weak player would not draw Kasparov.

I consider Kasparov to be an old wolf :D
He probably didn't play at his 100% strength aswell, but it is a very good and enjoying game to watch

Because bishop b6
Starts queen hunt or renders black under developed after queen exchange

The chief blunder was not capturing that A pawn. Dealing with connected passed pawns is extremely difficult when the opponent has the Bishop pair. On the other hand, here we have a kid vs the world champ and that does give Kasparov the psychological advantage. In a recent interview Carlson said that he considers Kasparov the greatest chess player who ever lived.

@5:45 What do you think about playing? 1.Nxe3 bxa7 2.Rxa7 now if e5 Nxg2 black's down the exchange but he picks up the e5 pawn.

Instead of resigning, why not Nxe3 by Carlsen? Then bxa8Q, Rxa8, Bxa8, Nxf8, Kxf8, dxe5. Carlsen is down two rooks and a knight, gets a two pawns, a bishop and a rook, and is protected from checkmate from the rook by his dark square bishop. Is this too much of a winning position for White still? Am I missing something obvious why that's not worth pursuing?

Thanks for the great insight!
