The Infamous Doom Turtle

The American T28 super heavy tank, also known as the T95 gun motor carriage, is quite possibly the slowest vehicle in the entirety of War Thunder. It is essentially invulnerable from the front, but not from the sides. Its very low top speed and high protection have earned it the nickname Doom Turtle, though newer players have taken to calling it Tutel. It shouldn't be able to neutral steer, but nobody tell Gaijin about that.

Fun fact - that 4:56 T28 falling down from the cliff and reaching a 74kph has more kinetic energy (12.55MJ) atm than its T32 round has when leaving the barrel at 3290kph (7, 39MJ).

The T-34-85 is a WoT player for sure lmao. It looks like he’s trying to push you (WoT physics assure me being shunted like a freight car makes you go faster), it doesn’t work due to the T28 being fat, but it’s the thought that counts.

There is one singular upside to being as slow as the T28/95. It's genuinely so slow that there's zero gun wobbling. It's like it's stabilized.

If I remember correctly, it wasn't even supposed to actually fight without the second set of tracks on the t95, the outer tracks were removed just to make it possible to transport on trains/trucks or something like that.

Fun fact. The army nicknamed it the doom turtle not because of the impending doom the enemy now faced, but because any crew that manned it was doomed to be up-tiered against ATGMs and 105mm guns.
