"It's ok to just go someplace beautiful and sleep." That word liberates at a cellular level. Thank you.

This woman is speaking to the very center of my soul. I am so sick of corporate life. After 18 years, enough is enough. I am still young and have no obligations to stay put, I am ret to go!!

I lived in England for a year 20 years ago, that would be my dream home, but unfortunately, the cost of living there is worse than in America. I have a girlfriend who lived in Asian and studied there over 30 years ago, but this new generation of Black women traveling the world is epic. I love it.

For dating, another youtuber said the same thing about South Africa.

The best time in my life was when I was unemployed. I was looking for a job, but I was not stressed. Once I went back to work, been working ever since. I'm on the path of living with ease. My plan is to be living abroad my May next year. That's going to be my ultimate birthday gift to myself. I'm doing things now for the rest of my life of ease. Thank you Steph!!😊

I did the same thing too in 2015, travelling around SE Asia, my family dragged me back, but it was the best thing I ever did. I feel like doing the same thing again.
I learned how to ride a moped too at 40!

#9 If you don't already know, other peoples opinion about what you want to do with your life, is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! Take your sabbatical.

The irony is that the healthcare industry/ hospitals, etc arguably treat their employees the worst! They are some of the most toxic work environments which is why so many of us are leaving.

I just resigned from my job 2wks ago! I hate working for other people, wyte people, and the whole corporate thing... but didn't have a plan in place when I did it. Got an interview today. The job sounds good, good pay, good experience, but don't really wanna do it, but feel like I got to, if I get it. I'm torn n confused 😢

I agree regarding hospitals not being fair in treating an employee right; I work for one.

As an RN (registered nurse), I've learned how to save, invest, and put my money to work to increase my income, so I'm not worried of losing my job or leaving my employment. I want the freedom to live my life how I want, not simply the money.

Lol---If you're not quite ready to quit your job and you have a good chunk of vacation stored up, don't be afraid to take it ALL at one time 🏕 As a part-time vanlifer, i am loving my version of taking a sabbatical ✨️ Even though my job is now remote, I'm using all 6 weeks of vacation (at the same time) for a short summer sabbatical 🎉 i'm so NOT bored. I'm loving the time I have to just do short RV camping / road trips, sleep-in & rest, or just be lazy and do nothing at all 😅

As a brother, I am inspired by your spirit and how you see life. I'm a dad and husband so my journey to location-free living is going to be different, but your content is relevant to me nevertheless.

I love your channel. I’m currently purging for an exodus move in about a year. I work in higher education so I think I’ll be ok regarding future employment. But it’s time for the grownup gap year. 😊

I was 36, at my last job during pandemic. I was dealing w/fibroid tumors and had to leave wrk to go to urgent care, bcuz I was suffering frm what I didn't know at the time was low blood pressure. Urgent care said nothing was wrong w/me so they sent me but took a blood test.

So I was going to go bck to wrk the nxt day, didn't feel like it but was trying to make myself get ready to go bck to wrk. Then urgent care called me and said I needed to go to the hospital to get a blood transfusion. I ended up being in the hospital a week and while I was still in there my job called me talking abt I needed to come in. And literally I'm like I'm still in the hospital.

I ended up being released and going bck to wrk the same night of the day I was released. It was in the hospital when my job was talking to me abt wrk I thought to myself this job will kill me.

After I went bck to wrk I was there abt 2 or 3 weeks trying to figure out what I would do, to leave and make money. 1 of my coworkers at the time was doing uber and lyft on the side to make money and was doing well and showing me his numbers. He had bought a new car off that.

So I put in my two weeks to go do uber and lyft and at that time I had become interested in becoming a life insurance agent frm coming across malcolm harris vid's, so that was my plan to go uber and lyft and get my insurance licenses.

I put in my 2weeks. That was the only job ever in my life I had ever gave the consideration of two weeks notice and they dragged every minute of it out and I hated every minute of it cuz I was ready to go when I put in my 2weeks.

That was yr 2021. I have not had a job since. I've been going thru real hard times off and on, and now. Where I was considering getting a reg job again, and I had fight myself into putting in applications. Then when I had interviews I canceled.

I'm in Insurance and I've been doing 1099 wrk for money. I haven't started making money yet in insurance but I am abt to have my 1st client as they are interested.

Once you take your power bck frm these jobs it is real hard to give it bck. It's like putting yourself bck into slavery. Everytime the thought of it literally made me sick.

I'm single and childless so I plan to pay for my house sitters and Stephanie's tool kit frm my 1st sale. And I do insurance virtually so I can do frm anywhere

I'm glad you mentioned travelers insurance bcuz I'm going to now make that 1 of my niches since now I know there is a need. I had put in my 2weeks just as a just in case. But I knew bck then I wasn't going to be going bck to wrk.

Glad I stumbled on your channel couple mnth's ago. This channel also inspired me to seek out my current blk woman coach in life insurance.

Hi Stephanie, not sure if you have but if you haven’t, you should consider collaborating with Tricia Hersey, the nap bishop. You two are spreading the good word about rest and as black women, many of us don’t realize the significance of it until it’s too late.
