We've learned about solder wick and solder sucker and now we're going to use these devices to remove components from the circuit board.

First we're going to remove this surface mount capacitor. So we're going to use our solder wick to remove the solder from one of the terminals of the device. To do so we've trimmed a fresh edge, we're going to apply a small amount of flux to the tip and we're going to place the wick between the device and the tip of our soldering iron and we're going to remove the flux beneath.

As we do so the solder flows into the wick and we've got a lot of solder here so we have to move it to several positions. Be sure that we get all the solder from beneath the device.

With one terminal removed we heat the other device and grasp with tweezers which allows us to remove the device without damaging it.

isnt it annoying when they dont keep filming the actual work and interrupt it to film the workers face...

What is the name and brand of the device you are using to hold the circuit board in place while you remove the component?

What if it has multiple connections I was able to remove all the top soldering but it still has enough to hold the circuit in place I can heat up one but the rest will not let it go out it has 8 on each side
