Pet Pigeon Cage Set-Up

Rhea and I just moved into our college dorm room so come join us while we set up her cage!

**If your bird spends multiple daytime hours in their cage, a bigger set-up with more enrichment is highly recommended. Since Rhea only spends the night in her cage (and free roams the rest of the day), this works the best for us.

Try bed pads for people they're thicker and cheaper and come it bigger quantities :) I used them for my dogs and they're alot more affordable

From a fellow dove owner and other birds, it’s not good to have the perches that have that texture as it will hurt their feet. That’s probably why it was on clearance cause it’s something bird owners avoid.

Please correct perch position. Textured part needs to be facing sideways not upward; it's to help file bird's nails as they move on the perch. Their feet will get scraped & messed up laying on textured part of perch. I hope bird's ok.

Okay guys I seriously need your advice!! I am planning on getting a pet pigeon, I have a kennel that is about the same size of this, Good & Water, Two wooden perches (that replicate tree branches) and a platform like theirs. I also have a little cover just so it can feel comfortable and secluded during the bonding process, everything is thoroughly cleaned, I have an air purifier too. But I don't know if I am ready or not!
