This is my trying to be helpful in a group project.

I had a pet pigeon. Found him in the city with a broken wing. Took him home. Took care of him. He healed up and got better. He got used to me. Started letting him out to fly around and he would return. After doing this for a few days he finally took off and was headed back towards the city. Never saw him again.

Pigeons are pretty because humans bred them for centuries
Eventually they got rid of them, this they went from pets to flocks of wild city birds!
Also being with humans so long is why they are so cool and chill. They're supposedly to be our little friends
