Full UniFi Network Setup - Episode #5 - Adding UniFi Switches

In this 5th episode of the Full Network Setup I will be showing you how to connect up a UniFi USW-Aggregation switch and a USW-24-POE 24 Port POE Switch up to my UDM Pro using both 10Gbit (Gigabit) and 1Gbit (Gigabit) device connections to take advantage of both 10Gbit and 1Gbit client connections using my previously installed CAT6 cabling. I will also show you how to add/adopt the switches in to the UniFi Network Controller application.

I would like to ask about my setup. I have 1 UDM SE, 1 Aggregation Switch, and 5 USW 24-port standard switches.

I connected my UDM SE to port 11 on the USW Aggregation switch on port 8, and I connected all 5 USW 24-Port switches on each different area to the Aggregation switch via SFP module. However, I'm encountering STP blocking. Can you help me understand how to avoid this error?

I actually managed to get a 30 cm DAC cable from 10GTek.
They’re good, and work perfectly fine with Ubiquiti gear.

I have a copper DAC cable that goes from my UDMP to my unfi 48 POE switch but nothing happens. Always thought it was plug & play. Does the DAC need to be fiber?

I was given this same exact setup. And have no idea how to link them together. They came linked together. I just don't know if this is ideal way. They are daisy chained . This video helps alot.

i was looking how to connect the UDM to each switch, the problem is, i have 8Gbit internet speed and i need to use 1 SFP+ on the UDM as WAN connection, than i have only 1 SFP+ left to connect to the USW aggregation, behind that i have also a USW Pro 16 . is it better to go first from UDM to the Aggregation and than to the USW Pro 16, or first to the Pro 16 and than to the Aggregation ?

Hi, im just starting to have a some idea about networking solutions. But on the unify website, they say that USW pro 24 POE switch is capable of 1, 0 Gbps, but in your unify OS, it shows it has 10Gbs experience. How is it? Just bcs of the aggregation switch?

I thought that you should know that it isn't recommended to have more than 2 RJ45 spf+ modules in the aggregatation switch. Cause the temperature gets to hot.
