I've known this for a long time, but my head won't let me accept it. This is the best I've ever seen it explained. Good job.

Finally! A logical explanation of why I have been pulling my wedges. Will bring this instruction (I hate the word “tip”) to the course. Also, important: realizing the distance from the ball changes with the club selection.

I have finally been able to get my irons and driver to compress and go straight with a bit of a draw...but the wedges have been going EXACTLY how you are saying. I needed this! Thanks!

Very helpful and timely tip Matt! Wedge improvement is one of my goals for 2023. Specifically, from 100 yards and in. Thank you!

This was SUPER helpful Matt, thank you! I have recently been struggling with long left pulls inside 120 yards and now I know why! I was trying to fix my stance, swing path etc. All I had to do was open up the face and now I'm back to throwing darts. Thank you!!!!

Outstanding! The difference between the results of being left and right as demonstrated here are tremendous in relation to your score and your mental state. I have been viewing MSG videos for a few years now and his tips are spot-on. Also, and this is key -- he is consistent in his instructions. Last year I put them together and dropped from a 16.1 in April to at 12.9 by November. Next stop: single digits.

Matt, that was probably your best instructional video you have done so far, lots to take away from this! Also, dig that Aero-Whip in the background! See you in Orlando.

Wonderful, Matt. I’ve been missing so many greens left with my wedges the last 2 months and doing bandaid fixes to hold the face off. This really helped me!!

A fantastic example of demonstrating such an important concept simply and clearly. I don't know why I have not seen anyone else address this issue. It's not like wedge play isn't integral to scoring! Thanks Matt love the passion and conviction in you videos keep up the great work!

A year late with this comment but just been to the range to try this and it REALLY works !
I’ve missed greens to the left for years and is why my HC isn’t 6 or 7 lower. Basically instead of setting up with left arm and club in straight line, i.e. with forward shaft lean, set up with handle in the centre and open the face about 10 deg or so. When you come back to impact position, the face has squared and it flies straight….brilliant and thank you from the UK.

This is a great tip. I figured this out about 4 months ago. Forever I have been missing right on my approach shots. (I’m a lefty ) I started setting up with a slightly open face and the results were immediate . Hitting more greens. More birdie chances. Lower handicap. Great tip!

Deep but makes sense. Thanks. I came to the same conclusion mucking around in the back yard watching the ball flight. The ball never lies!!

I knew about opening club face more in a bunker and it will still go straight but I never thought about it at 100yrds in. Makes sense now and I'm playing 9 holes after work today. I'm going to work on this. Thanks man!

Really helpful tip, which you would think I should know being a scratch golfer! Now I know why I pull a ton of my wedges. Thank you this will help a ton!

Didn’t know how bad I need to watch this video. I’m on the third time watching it to lock in the lesson. You’ve literally changed my errant thought process, specifically to understanding club face position in relation to my common miss. Wow, what a great video. Sub +1 can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos.
