THE REAL-LIFE MURDER BEHIND JENNIFERS BODY

Stay tuned to find out the real-life crime case that was an inspiration for the movie "Jennifer's Body," starring Megan Fox! Subscribe to Anna Solves for more true crime news.

Elyse Marie Pahler was born on April 24, 1980, in Templeton, California, to Lisanne and David Pahler. She was the oldest of four kids and was said to be very close to her family.

Elyse and her family moved to Arroyo Grande, California, in a house that her dad actually built. For some reason, Elyse’s mom decided to homeschool her for sixth and seventh grade, but then she joined middle school in eighth grade, before later going to Arroyo Grande High School.

Elyse was a good student who got good grades and played soccer and tennis. She was also very active in the church choir and the local theatre as she aspired to become an actress when she got older.

Everyone who knew Elyse described her as outgoing, free-spirited, and adventurous. She was always one of those people who are always reaching out and talking to everyone. And because of this, she had many friends and everyone seemed to like her. In her group of friends, Elyse was sort of the wild one and she would often be sneaking out from home and then come back with some interesting stories to tell.

Elise was also experimenting with alcohol and narcotics, which soon started to get out of hand. She was suspended from school for five days after she was caught engaging in underage drinking. When her parents learned about this, they decided to put her in a rehab center called Mariposa Recovery Center, hoping that she would get clean and get her life back on track.

But sadly, this was where her nightmare began.

While Elyse was in the recovery center, she happened to meet a boy called Jacob Delashmutt. He was actually in the same school as Elyse though they didn’t run in the same circles so they never really interacted. Jacob and his friends, Joseph Fiorella and Royce Casey, had a bad rep in town and were known as social misfits.

They were into some really dark stuff and were always getting in trouble in school. The three had also formed a heavy metal band called “Hatred” which was heavily inspired by the band “SLAYER”.

“SLAYER is a controversion yet popular death metal band whose music revolves around some really scary stuff like murder, satan, and human sacrifice. In fact, the meaning behind the name is ‘Satan Laughs As You Eternally Rot.” Keep watching to find out how this true life story took its turn...

There's a reason why parents report their child missing, because it's unusual for them to be away for that long. And they (police) thought they know the kids more than parents. Gracious goodness!

So a girl goes missing and three boys say they killed her and nobody took them seriously?? That’s insane

I never realised there was a true story behind this film.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately “being too nice gets you killed, used and abused” and this story proves my point. RIP Elyse

There were so many red flags but still she was like "it's probably a bad prank".
This proves that she was indeed an innocent soul ❤️

These boys apparently returned to her corpse and violated her on SEVERAL occasions. I hope they all stay locked up for a long time for what they did to her.

Those men were monsters. Still so confused though on why she didn't report them when they pushed her off a ravine. People who hurt you should never have your loyalty

Something about the fact that she cried out to her mother just makes me so so sad. She must have been really scared. I feel sorry for her. If just some people weren't that stupid she would still be alive.

Regardless if its victim shaming or blaming, no one ever is asked to be killed/murdered or raped. Regardless of how niave or silly her decisions were, she was a good person who tried to see the good in people. Unfortunately reality has made us all cynics

I swear on the stacks and stacks of "Cold Case--Missing", "Murder", or "Missing, Presumed Homicide" cases,
*I WANT TO REACH THROUGH THE SCREEN AND PUNCH A COP EVERY TIME I HEAR THE PHRASE, *
"Oh she probably just ran away."

Ladies and young ladies, it's time to abolish the "I don't want to he mean" mentality. If you're intuition is telling you someone is weird or even dangerous, be VERY MEAN and keep your distance.

They blamed a metal band, but what about all the other Slayer fans? They didn't go out and commit a murder. These 3 boys were just messed up, and the music isn't to blame.

As a metalhead it really pisses me off when people blame music for their actions. Slayer did not make you kill that girl!

If someone kills someone they should either be killed or stay in prison for the rest of their life, they should never be let out no matter what.

Blaming violent movies, video games or heavy music for ANY violent crimes is such a stupid arguments. They are just excuses...

It's so scary to realize teenagers did this. When I was a teenager I couldn't even fathom thinking or doing anything like that. It's just crazy.

Funny how they all find Jesus when it’s convenient

No wonder our parents forbid us from befriending suspicious or bad people. The poor girl was just trying to be friendly, they misused her trust.. ☹️

I really wish the police would stop treating missing teens as runaways. You hear it every time it’s so infuriating.
