People talking about Jeremy & Wonka comparison but what Coolidge was saying about gays, mostly gay guys, being portrayed as bad guys or villains is something relatively new and Mike White did a phenomenal job with that narrative

That's actually quite different from a lot of pop culture prior to the last few decades.
Previously in film and mainstream entertainment,
they were either portrayed as funny and quite harmless side character,
A sympathetic character who almost always had a tragic end
Or very ominous, insidious evil.

If you read the book "the Maltese Falcon" there are very strong hints that all the male villains trying to get the falcon at all costs are ALL gay,
And there are tiny hints of it in the movie.

i truly love this set up for interviews!!! just makes sense to have an actor be the one to interview an actor bc they actually know what kind of questions to ask, and don’t ask the same 5 questions that every press junket interviewer does! would luv to see artists asking other artists about their work, writers discussing each others writing, musicians interviewing other musicians, etc! imagine if all interviews were like this !!! actually getting information about how an actor is so good at their craft rather than asking them about who they r dating right now
