In this video I'm going to show you how to vibra screed a concrete floor and get it very flat or level.

This is a 30 yard residential concrete floor pour. We're using our vibratory screed for this one. The most important part to getting a very flat floor using these screeds are the guys raking the mud behind the screed.

If you have one or two very good "puddlers" that can keep up with the screed guy, you're going to get a nice floor.

The rakers, or puddlers, have to keep a small roll of concrete behind the screed. Not too much concrete and not too little or you'll get a hump of dip in the floor.

Another important part is to make sure the ends of the screed are leaving a little "line" in the concrete as you're pulling it back.

That means your "scoring" on each end and not riding high or digging in to the concrete.

Been in the game 12yrs. learned it from my uncle, 3rd gen mason. Taught me all the tips and tricks 40yrs of experience. I only do flatwork. I pour, pull over on way home, watch other guys pour, go home watch concrete vids on youtube. I think I have a problem. LOL Mike is the best! Thanks for all the vids buddy.

Iv had a vibra screed for about 8 years love it it leaves the surface smooth so there's less bull floating to do takes away a lot of strain on my stomach, back and shoulders .its a great tool I've had lots of concrete delivery drivers ask where I bought it

Hey mate thanks for sharing you knowledge with us. Over here in Australia it's hard to get a boss or older experienced guy to explain things in depth so thanks very much.

Mike you’re an inspiration to me. I’m a 30 year old finisher with 6 years experience in concrete. I’m confident in my skills and want to have a business like you have one day. Watching your content gives me hope that one day I can achieve that. Now all I need is good help like Luke and Darren!

you've earned yourself a sub bud...working with a crew of 10 guys (me included) what this video shows is all too familiar such as the guy pouring the hose from the pump along with the vibra screed operator and the guys raking the concrete it is definitely interesting and something different everyday than the average 9-5 job and yes we too use marshalltown tools very good indeed

How do you keep the power screed from sinking? I’ve used mine a handful of times and it always seems like one or both ends will sink down a little bit. I have a Marshall town with a 12’ board.

What type of mix are you using? Slump? Plasticizer?

It would be awesome to pour a slab with no mesh or steel in it . In Australia the only time we do that is on a gutter 👍 that’s good guys 👌🤙🏻🎥
