How to enable BitLocker without a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) - Windows 11 | Windows 10

You can change the Local Group Policy options to bypass/override the TPM chipset requirement for BitLocker Drive Encryption in Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices. This will allow us to use BitLocker on devices without a TPM or devices with malfunctioning TPM chipsets. This demo is valid for both Windows 10 and 11 clients.

I recommend that you enable BitLocker Drive Encryption on mobile Windows devices such as laptops for data protection as they are the most vulnerable to physical thefts and losses. It is also important to highlight that BitLocker encrypted drives can be attacked and penetrated with specialized tools. But that would require a lot of time, money and effort.

What is when I do this and remove the recovery key (I dont trust it). Do I have issues when changing bio or put the ssd in another system or does it never ask for recoverykey because I removed it and only needs to password I setup for Bitlocker? And how does the password only method work, do I need to give in the password before startup? Because when windows is starting it would be an security issue, but when I need to give in an password before it even starts it the highest security tough.
