Alocs alcohol stove & Coffee

Today I make coffee in the Tex Sport 9 cup percolator coffee pot. This was interesting in that took a bit longer than I thought would to make the coffee. It did turn out good though!!

Cool video. However I'm not a fan of carrying flameable liquids. BUT, like you, I have two of those 7 dollars folding stoves from Wallywold and I love them. My other option is the Esbit folding stove with the fuel cubes. Like your videos brother!!!

Good video! Thumbs up for the Dunkin's. You should give denatured alcohol a try; it's significantly better than isopropyl even at 91%.

Try some denatured alcohol in your stove or some Yellow HEET you can find at any Walmart or auto parts store. Both burn clean and heat much better with no soot and leaves your pot clean as well. Both also light much easier with a fire steel.

you could try to stop the leak with some high temp silicone around the area where it is leaking

I love alcohol stoves, but it's really best not to use isopropyl in them.   Even the 91% has far too many impurities which can, over time, clog up the stove,   it, burns cooler, and produces a big yellow flaw than contaminates everything.   If you want to go cheap, but denatured alcohol.  It's just ethanol with something added to poison it, or to make it taste really nasty, and it burns far better that isopropyl.  Methanol also burns better, and is pretty cheap..   Because I always have grandkids around, I don't want anything that can blind or poison them, so I bite the bullet and buy straight ethanol.  It costs thirteen dollars a fifth where I live, but a fifth lasts me a long time, so it's worth it for the safety.  It also burns hotter and more efficiently than any other fuel.  And, if you ever need alcohol for internal use, such as a serious injury when in the woods, just mix it half and half with water.
