I'm one of those people who need to see everything step by step so Thank You for this demo!... But I think a windscreen will cut down boiling time. My next stove 👍

Could be nice to see a long term review showing Alocs state, seems like Trangia have a serious corrosion problem and i am thinking if Alocs have same issue.

I love alcohol stoves. Your stove came with a pot stand but you really need to make a wind screen. You can make a cheap one with just tin foil taped to cardboard. Put some holes near the bottom. Have it cover at least 1\2 way up your pot. (Air should flow smoothly in the bottom and around you pot and out). Even in freezing temps you should be able to cut that time in half. An alcohol stove is a system of stove+fuel+pot+wind screen. Overall you have a good setup with good fuel, good stove\stand and wider pot, but your losing most of your heat to the environment. Enjoyed the video!

It takes a couple of burns to get it to start to burn hot.

Good philosophy of use for this stove. This is good if you leave in the car in hot temperatures. You can grab yellow bottles of HEET gasoline deicer and they are conveniently sized portable bottles.

You can find cheaper denatured alcohol by the gallon at Home Depot.

Burning Alcohol IS hard to see in daylight ! It's hard to light when it's cold.

I highly recommend cocooning this setup in some kind of windscreen to add efficiency to this setup. If you want a complete system get this...

Pocket rocket type stoves are no good for this philosophy of use because the fuel cans are hazardous to keep in a hot car.

I completely concur with the prior two sentiments: nice video and a windscreen will cut down boil time in half
