For those questioning the validity of this video. I know from experience going to dental assistant school and being in the field for many years. That's schooling for anything is typically textbook like this video is. It's real world experience that prepares you to assist when trouble arises. Like when a tooth breaks or a root tip is left behind. Nothing in Dentistry is textbook it's just a guide right here. Just like when learning oral pathology. Textbook always shows a worse case photos. But in real life it's much more subtle.

Sometimes the doctor will ask for probe instrument to makesure local anaesthesia state reach to the target area by asking patient if there's numbness or sharp pain sensation persist while probe instrumentation touches the gums, before scapel instrument hand over

In my office, patients undergoing oral surgery have their heart rhythm, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, end-tidal gasses, and body temperature continuously monitored during the procedure.

As per this video, Dental Assistant is the one who decide which instrument to use and at what time Dentist should use it.

I’m going for my first interview for a dental surgery of assistant, but the one from my have this video is it’s just generic. There is nothing that the person is doing that coincides with what the narrator is saying. It literally does not help whatsoever
