The pivot pins on the sash are not seated correctly in the balance blocks. I recognize that sound immediately. That is the sound of the brakes scraping down the inside of the frame. (In my humble opinion)

I just had to replace some windows in an apartment building where they were made of aluminum in 1968. Complete disaster getting them out and he ordered too small of replacements that we had to use. Measurements are extremely important. Great video.

This is all sorts of wrong. Especially on a brick opening. The Jack stud always crowds the opening. Are you removing Jacks?

If you just measure extention Jamb to Extention Jamb and add 1.5" you get make size for the stud opening
