My 10yo, diagnosed 4 mos ago, just started the Omnipod and I was hoping something like this was in the works. I really hope it gets FDA approval.

Hello Justin,

Your videos about diabetes devices and apps are the best on youtube.
I was really looking forward to the iAPS video, and I don't think I'm the only one.

Thank you for what you do and I wish you much success in the future

Merry Christmas to you Justin! I appreciate you and your informative channel. I got my 780G a few weeks after my 70th birthday. I was a Type II for about 11 years and controlled with an A1C of 6.6. About 1.5 years ago my A1C began to climb…long story short, I had developed LADA. I was taken off all oral medication and started on a daily Basel injection. Then after about three months I got a Libre3 CGM and began Basel injection in the evening and preBlousing for carbs at meal time! Counting carbs is a pain and then taking the bolus and waiting…ugh! Since I got my pump my life is so much easier! I’m thankful that I enjoy technology! The hardest thing for me was learning to trust the system. My target is 100 and at first I would wake up early in the morning and see my numbers as low as 84! Normally now when I wake up I’m running about 100 +/- 5! Sorry this is so long. Again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

That’s great video! What type of insulin did you use during these two weeks? Novorapid? I think IAPS should even work better when using ultra-rapid insulin like Fiasp speciaally when we don’t pre-bolus 🤨

Hi Justin,
It is important that a very popular YouTuber has finally adopted iAPS.
I can assure you that since September I have never added carbohydrates...everything happens automatically.
iAPS has the problem that it still doesn't support many CGMs and pumps like APS for Android which for example supports "eversense". Given your visibility I think you could help the cause.
Merry Christmas!
Luigi

Hi thank you so much for the video. I’m on month two. It was/is a steep learning curve.

I’m still tweaking. Have to take into consideration monthly cycles etc.

I currently have my settings which I’m pleased with and turn on an “120% profile” for 120min for main meals since I have not yet been able to get to “the right settings” that handle a full meal and don’t drive me low when not eating.

So, my current settings keeps me steady and handles regular corrections and keeps me a beautiful steady lines while fasting but for meals I turn on “20% more”. It feels like cheating but it’s working. I would rather not do this since I will need a lot of profiles (eg my menstrual profile will need a regular and an eating one)

I would like to know how/why/what was the thinking behind the setting changes you did.

Thank you for the clear, informative, and inspiring content! Your upbeat energy is infectious.

I want to know more about the literal transition from loop. Did you delete your loop app prior to initiating iAPS? If not, how do you keep them from competing?

Do you have to start a new session with both the cgm and the pump when switching over?

Thank you!

Ok, I’ve been using the OmniPod 5 & ? if the IAPS system can be used w/this system? I’m still waiting on an app from Insulet so the IPhone & PDM don’t have to be carried. I’m very interested in using a system that better learns BGL control w/o bolusing for meals! Great detail !!

I think the most important thing is counting your carbs correctly, at least that’s my problem and I’m on the Omni pod five

What the difference of IAPS from Omnipod 5 on automatic mode?

copeletely agree that all those prediction lines are unnecessary and tmi. they can remain an option under 'statistics and home view' but the default should be that they're not visible. an actual prediction line based on all factors such as ion, cob, isf, cr etc. would be helpful though.

I can’t find the iAPS app in the App Store.

I find iAPS so interesting, but the thought of having so little control would scare the crap out of me. I’m just curious what your time in range looks like?
