What is one tip you'd give to new players? Let me know!

In case anyone is wondering he didn’t specify if you place a bedroll or land claim block at your base it will prevent the trader from offering your base location as a quest so you can freely accept any quest without worry of resetting your base. Also if you do accidentally pick up a quest at your base DO NOT ACTIVATE THE YELLOW ! You can just abandon the quest from the quest tab and go get another one from the trader.
I hope this helps!

Lots of the tips were Great, I think one of the most straight forward tips i'd give to a new player/fresh spawn is -Gather enough stones/sticks/ plant fibers by hand. Sticks can be easily obtained from small branch like bushes. Easy win as you can craft your first tool. +repair material for later use.
-bum rush your way to the nearest town or city. Biome matters especially if your new as it would definitely increase difficulty.
-Take 1-3 days at least Building your Beginner base and the other 4 days of solid scavenging and looting. Each option has its perks as you gain XP(experience) either way but one is more advantageous as you gain necessary mats/gear/etc
-First horde night dont bother building a horde base(waste of time imo) yes its a good way for experience but chances are you are new and your first build isn't going to save you. Save yourself the hassle of lose of health/goods(ammo or loss of gear) or making your character weaker because you died.
-Instead Choose a solid building you cleared out and simply reinforce or break the stairs or ladder. Create and opening so you can shoot down to or deal dmg however best to zombies. Honestly save your means of defence and offense for the next day for gathering and exploring newer better locations. Your choice whether you attempt horde night 2-3. By 2-3 you would be pimped out to honestly survive and give yourself a challenge. Whether you die or lose etc will be your own fault but of course the fun part is knowing how you messed up and how to improve.
-Advice : for new people play in easy mode so you learn mechanics/if you feel like you dont care then go Warrior <3 you'd definitely feel the love) Need a challenge: remove air drops (which honestly gives you more random food than anything but sometimes gives you beakers (<3 god tier loot) But if removed then you have a challenge to find these goods and you definitely have to push yourself to survive. Difficulty matters but you remain on 1 lvl for too long it will always be easy so challenge yourself. Horde bases are worth especially have you learnt your lessons. But definitely worth after you have gathered enough loot/materials. Having too much of anything is never enough.
*NB After your base is up-Take a few minutes to view your skill tree. I place this last as the rest imo are as important but this one is definitely key. best for last. Depending on if you are playing solo or with friends. You could be jack of all trades or skill into a specific job. Just remember you will have to beg borrow or steal haha if your buddy is offline or being stingy. Definitely speck into the engineering skill tree or that of which involves digging etc. You will be able to get yourself a forge. Any materials you gather or scrap can be broken down and reforged into tools or goodies you can use to defend or sell and trade for. All of this= experience for you. Break down Metal or anything machine like as you will need whatever mats. Iron is always key. (Also go for the mechanic skill tree asap too as transport is key to being able to get to new towns and loot. Alone you have an abundance, with friends you will eventually be competing with them for loot.
+lastly Location is key. Choose a spot either near water or near Nodes (iron, coal, nitrate, lead) A mine near by or under your base for ease of access is always convenient especially after you base is a fortress and you have defences doing the hard work. Keep in mind you dont dig or make a cavern 3-10 blocks under your base otherwise RIP BASE.
Heat is your worst nightmare...dont put millions of forges inside your base or under your base if you have no means to defend. You will basically be ringing the dinner bell for the LLOrona/screamer. If she sees you before you kill her then make sure you say hi to the dozen or so zombies coming to visit or the Gangbang waiting to happen as more come per scream. .

Ps. Safe zones arent safe zones after nightfall :P and each trader (safe zone) are pretty much loot specific like guns/meds etc. Make sure to check their facilities or workbenches. Safes/book shelves/trash/storages/etc.

Personally it only took me 5 days to die, I feel like this is in contradiction with the theme of the game, I appreciate these tips to help me make it to 7 days to die therefore being in harmony. Yet another top tier video from ThemNuclearBird.

Always make sure yiure using the right tool to harvest each thing as you'll get a lot more if you do. Such as an axe for wood even wood stacks and pallets. And pickaxe for ore :)

Molotovs are OP for hordes and higher level POI's. You can cheese the first 3-5 blood moons by finding a 3-4 block high pregen wall of concrete and just defending it, making sure to use the ranged damage drink, loot bonus food and whatever other buffs you want. Parkour in the agility tree is something I always get early on to get the added utility of jump height. When you've done a few dozen missions you just want to start speed running them and the lessened fall damage/jump height lets you get around easier.

one tip that i can offer new players in this current patch is make as many dew collectors as possible and once you get your hands on the water purification mod, try to only drink straight from rivers or lakes with the mod on and reserve your water bottles from the dew collectors for use in crafting. i know for fact that duct tape is used in almost every end game piece of equipment and it requires cooking bones in water over a campfire to make glue in order to craft duct tape.

PRO TIP: Using the Sledge Turret in your hand you can knock any player into ragdoll, even if PvP is disabled. This is always funny.

Thanks for the content. I didn't know that the pocket mod could go on clothes. A tip for hoarders that are starting out. Just outside of the mission area (on the street works) build a storage chest. When your inventory gets full, drop off a load in your container. This works well early on if you choose to complete the POI before clicking on the floating yellow mission icon. By double dipping, it also lets you know in advance where the best loot is and any dangerous areas.

Pro tip
Land claim block removes buildings in its protection from trader quests.
And bedrolls stop respawning in your home

One of my favorite early game bases is the hybrid-style base that is just an elevated box with a fighting position and zombie path on one side. They can make for a decent crafting base and early-to-mid game horde base if you build them with a large enough interior. Best of all, one person can build it in about a day and use it to survive the first handful of horde nights with minimal upgrading.

I haven't had issues with water. Murky water is found everywhere, and once you get the mod for the helmet, makes things even easier, not to mention you get water in many of the canned goods, as well as mid range food recipes, as well, you still have the other drinks to fall back on such as yucca juice, smoothies, etc.
