I was in a fire. Therefore I am not able to forge for a decent bit. This beautiful video has raised my spirits and calmed me while we tore off my bandages. Thank you

Lovely spoon, im no blacksmith, I just recently whittled a spoon but i'd love to forge one someday. Great video!

Glad to see you round those corners with a hammer instead of a grinder. There’s a lot of grinder-smiths out there. I’ll be making one of those spoons very soon. Thanks for the idea!

I'm in the process of setting up my first forge and collecting scraps. This is going to be the first thing I make or attempt to make while I learn how to work the metal. So much to learn, but guys like you make the learning process tons easier. Thanks for sharing!

Never knew I wanted to forge a spoon until seeing this video. You are very skilled to forge to finish like that! Thanks for the video.

Like your "non knife" videos too. Hard to believe you forged that so close to final shape. Would welcome more content like it.

Nice work, I like to round off a chunk of wood or grind a divot in one to shape the spoon, seems to work much easier

Awesome job Matt. That's really nice. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. God bless.

Nice job! You might try a big chunk of wood or a stump to fork the spoon bowl until you get a dishing mold. Very good job though.

Very nice job, but considering the amount of heats and gas you burnt it’s probably very expensive ! But will last forever !

Upsetting the end first would give more metal for the bowl.

Very talented! Great calming video. I have a question. Is this safe to actually eat with? Wouldn’t it increase your intake of heavy metals?

Very cool, that would make a good coffee spoon, you can do alot if stuff with rebar. Will that rebar make a decent knife?
