Good information about drawing out a taper. Thank you. It’s the sort of thing I wouldn’t think to do, until I’d gotten tired of doing it the wrong way.

Nothing like taking scrap material and giving it new life.

I'm from Brazil and your videos have inspired me a lot. I'm currently making knives and some equipment inspired by your videos. Congratulations and may God bless you a lot.

Ooh, I should make a bunch of these for all the stuff I need to hang up in the shop

I'm overdue for making a batch of these. When I was first getting started I made some nails, and I'd use those as "hooks" in my shop, but it's time for me to upgrade to something better looking. Plus I have an old jug of vinegar sitting around that will be great for making the matching hardware. Thanks for another great video!

It’s always fun to see the return of the Hook of the Week as it was great, beginner content!

Hooks are a simple but very efficient way to organize a workshop as it keeps tools within reach of hands or heavy materials away from the floor, making it easier to clean the place. Happy Easter.

Your demonstration is absolutely wonderful for my teen daughter. She diligently plays your video over and over again in our forge before working on whatever project you share. Along with the tuition her Master Blacksmith, she's becoming very good indeed. As her mother I also am doing these simple projects. I love them! And I really love and appreciate your channel. All the very best to you, Wendi 🌻 PS. Could you forge a sunflower? It would look incredibly good! ❤

I like using end chunks / short pieces too so I have zero waste. And yes - my biggest pet peeve is seeing a nice forged piece hung with modern screws, especially gold drywall screws!! Thanks for the video.

I’m going to be making these to give away as Christmas and birthday gifts lol. As soon as I get a forge I’ll start practicing.

I miss the hook of the week series. I understand why it went away, but I used to look forward to it every week.

One tip I would add is when you're drawing out the taper and rounding, the small end will cool faster than the rest and can be prone to splitting. I like to swing my hammer and kind of "brush" the hammer out towards the tip to keep this from happening as it cools.
