Thank you!!! I am 47, and have "severe dextroscoliosis." I was diagnosed with scoliosis at 12, and was fitted for a brace (the MOST uncomfortable brace LOL) to wear at night while I slept. I was supposed to go back in one year and if no change was seen, they would do surgery. Well, my mother was deathly afraid for me to have back surgery....so here I am, now at 47, post menopausal, and my back is just now REALLY giving me major issues. (I only THOUGHT I had back problems in my late 20s and 30s.) Earlier this year, I had a MRI for an unrelated issue, and the report read more about my "severe dextroscoliosis " than it did about the first issue. Somehow, thanks to God, even though my spine is horribly twisted, I can still stand straight and most people don't even notice. I do have a (growing) hump on one side of my back, though.
I was just telling my husband the other day that I really need to find some good exercises to strengthen all of those muscles because now I know that post menopausal women tend to lose bone density AND muscle strength very which both I am now experiencing for the first time in my life. So thank you for making these videos!!! Exactly what I've been looking for. ❤

Thank you for sharing! I am only doing few stretching exercises in a gym near my address, the coach (who works in the gym is not specialized in scoliosis but he understands my body is different so he allows me to do only the exercises I know are good for me, some are approved by a physician I saw previously but he lives in another city). In Mexico city, right now I only stretch with calm and patience. Today I am happy because I went to the gym, yesterday I couldn´t go. I am trying to go every afternoon, this is my second week, while I get or feel more comfortable with workingout deeper I am studying the body muscles. It is very helpful for me to watch and listen to your videos because you are very accurate and kind. I hope I will feel better eventually... Today is Thrusday 21th, November, 2024. Hello i have been detected with mild lumbar scoliosis with convexity to the left side but the pain is immense...are these exercises gonna help?
