HOW TO GET A SLOW EASY GOLF SWING

In this tip I explain how to get that slow easy swing. You know the one. It looks like you're barely swinging yet you hit the ball a mile. This is the swing I've been teaching since 1991. No matter what your age or skill level you can learn this effortless golf swing.

If you learned golf as an adult, you're not doing this easy swing. Instead, you are just whacking away at it trying to hit the ball as hard as you can which makes your swing look fast and violent.

Although this hard, fast swing feels good you will not hit the ball your longest and you may end up hurting yourself. Plus, as you get older, you will continue to lose distance because as you age you get weaker.

A slow easy golf swing is based on your body rotation not your arms. This is why it looks slow yet it creates a ton of power. If you're sick of being inconsistent, not hit the ball very long and playing in pain then you need to learn this slow easy golf swing.

If you are struggling follow Paul. His lessons are not something you have to spend hours with. I was ready to give up golf until I found Paul. I was a good golfer and slowly went from a draw to balloon fades over a couple years and just chalked it up to getting old. Was to the point of having to hit six iron from 150. Now I'm back to hitting eight iron from 150 and back to 280 yard drives and I'm 65 years old. If you can't follow his instruction and immediately improve, take up bowling. Thanks Paul!

I came here for two reasons; 1: Paul's video on bunker play absolutely got rid of any fear I had of sand. Highly recommended. And 2:
Watching Amy Yang win the KPMG this year with a swing that looks so slow and effortess, that it actually blew my mind. Completely changed the way I look at the golf swing. I took a long hiatus away from golf, and I returned a few years ago, now 65. I am playing in a traveling league and some of the courses I've played really force you to have control over your shots. They are NOT "grip it and rip it" courses, and I have been having a hard time staying out of trouble. I know it's going to take some time, but I have decided that I MUST change my tempo and learn to do the things Paul is talking about here. I'm working on it now, and I have hit some very long drives with what felt like a very easy swing. It most definetely CAN be done, and should be done, especially as you get older. Wonderful video Paul. You're the best. Thank you!

The perfect explanation of a golf swing, effortless and powerful. As an 80 year old I also work at strengthening my body, especially the “core” and also flexibility through yoga or yoga based stretches. Thanks Paul, may your “tribe increase”.

Paul, you are spot on, exactly right about getting into your 70's and hitting your drives about 180 to 200 yards! That was me up to this year until I stumbled across this video, wondering why I couldn't hit the ball farther with an easier swing... Well, there you were, and voila!! thank you!!!

Paul Wilson is a legend! I went through a number of golf coaches and literally had no learning to show for it - came across Paul's videos and his course and I finally understood the golf swing (not to mention the grip and set up) . It's beauty is the simplicity of it - I'm not having to think about hinging my wrists or setting the club in the correct position or impact, all I need to focus on is turning shoulders on the backswing and turning hips on the downswing and physics takes care of the rest! I also would highly recommend Paul's short game course - there's sections on putting, chipping, pitching and sand play - again all so simply explained and not too difficult to master. I don't get to play that often but my putting is on a far higher level than lower handicappers purely from watching Paul's course.

You have changed my golf game! Just started a few months ago after never swinging a club really! Your video on how to swing irons were the biggest for me. Thanks for everything you do!

Golf is like throwing darts. U have to be easy in ur approach in order to be accurate. U don’t have to squeeze the club to death and hit homeruns. U weigh triple digits in pounds; club weighs about 1 pound; you’re moving it all with speed. F=ma. The ball weighs just over 1 oz. Putting the proper motion with body and club onto the ball...SMASHES it. I love ur videos. Ur channel is great. Thanks for these awsm tips 😎👍

Paul Wilson you are a genius - best investment I ever made was for your Body Swing program - 69 yrs old, thought my loss of distance was gone forever until i discovered your effortless power principles of loose wrists, coiling, touching the knees and back of the neck with club shaft on follow through - why you’re not in Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and the Golf Channel is beyond me - probably because you would put all the other so called “gurus” out of business - keep up the good work - what you have done for me and other senior golfers is priceless

This guy knows what he's talking about. I don't understand why he doesn't have a few million subs.

The longest hitter on the PGA Tour does not have a slow easy swing. As a matter of fact, Bryson DeChambeau almost comes out of his shoes he twists so fast. But if you watch his swing in slow motion, it reinforces everything Paul teaches. He fires almost brutally with his hips and if you watch his lead arm, it never gets out in front. His hips and body control the swing speed. Because of his youth and fitness, he can turn a slow easy swing into a tornado, but while doing so he uses every swing fundamental (hips, body, wrists) you see in this video. These are also what dictate not only his distance, but accuracy. It works for old, young, slow and fast. Brilliant stuff that has improved my game tremendously in the last 6 months.

Hi Paul. I am nearly 68. I am an English 10hcap that has gone up 12hcap since May (yes 20 x 0.1 increases) Been playing to 20hcp standard because of arthritis in left knee and hip. So yesterday I watched all your recent videos and today I went to the range and just concentrated on your NEUTRAL grip and wrist hinge. All I can say is 235yd carry (measured on SC200) into the wind. God help what will happen with a bit more practice. Thank you.

Im 53, Ive been playing golf for 30 years...with some years off in between years but lately im playing weekly. Ive always been an arms golfer with a strong grip. I ve been topping every single shot ...someone took a video of me last month and sure enough Im all tension and chicken wing. shots are going straight though. So I start looking at You Tube and now Im looking at Paul's channel. His Taming the Wild Stallion video was me...everything about it. So this past week Ive worked on hinge/rehinge and on a neutral grip. those were my two thought for Fridays round. Im not going to lie I had some miss hits and tops but NOTHING like before and my irons were the best Ive shot in a long time. Even had a 260 yard drive right down the middle...my playing partners were duly impressed. Thanks Paul!

Paul you have helped my game tremendously. I have watched most of your videos during the pandemic. I’ve been golfing for 30 years and never had hit the ball well until I seen your videos I went from playing in the high 90s. To mid 70s and now I love the game even more it’s a brand new game to me and I love it and now it’s about equipment which I’ve put together. God bless you and your family I really appreciate what you’ve done for me and lots of other people

Paul, at the driving range yesterday I was using your swing lesson. I was hitting drive after drive with what felt to me was an effortless swing. I could not believe how easy it was. The real kicker though, was not only was the distance good, but the accuracy was great. The last time I checked, the easiest way to lower your score is to hit the ball accurately. Plus, this is an extremely back friendly swing. I ought to know because I had major back surgery, and with this swing I come home feeling really good. Thanks for the swing lessons. Keep up the good work.
