Very helpful video! The first time I started trying to feed raw, I didn’t know much about it and thought I’d start with beef. I knew enough not to feed much hamburger and did mostly stew meat, neck bones and beef organs. My dog had even worse diarrhea than she did on her kibble (which is why I was trying raw to begin with). I gave up, but couldn’t find a kibble she did well on. Eventually I tried raw again after some research, starting with chicken, and was successful. I added beef in again later and her system got upset again. So I surmised that she was allergic to beef and didn’t feed it again for almost 2 years. Now she can eat beef no problem, in just about any amount. My theory is that what presented like an allergy was actually due to inflammation in her gut from the starches in her kibble. And that it took a long time before her gut was fully healed and healthy before she those sensitivities went away. Now that she has a healthy gut, she can eat anything biologically appropriate without a problem!

I think the best is allergy test with your dogs blood my American bully had allergy her whole puppy hood with hives all over her skin, as soon as she turned a year old I did the test at the veg she ended up being allergic to peas, green beans and peanuts. There are peas in every almost every commercial dog Even in a lot of fresh foods, I would’ve never found that out on my own since she’s not allergic to any protein surprisingly.

People are quick to assume 1 scratch or soft poop is food! It’s spring so it can be environmental. Sometimes stress or eating something bad can cause soft poop

Ik my girl is allergic to beef. Kibble, raw fed or just a piece of beef as a treat every time 10 to 20min after she skin turns red and she's super itchy. I took beef off her diet and everything calmed down. I put her on a raw pre made diet of beef and the whole 3 weeks on it she would itch and skin super red her fur was missing and her skin was all scaby she looked awful Took her off it and switched to Lamb raw. She's fine. That's how I found out.

My dog has been on a raw diet the day he came home and boom he started scratching the first day of spring. Not sure if it's seasonal allergies or food but he use to eat mostly beef and chicken. Now I've eliminated as of yesterday those proteins and we are trying duck and turkey fingers crossed. Thank you for this video.

What symptoms did matsu have to prompt the elimination diet, or was that merely a hypothetical situation? I use chicken hearts and gizzards and chicken frames so often and am concerned my dog has a chicken allergy so I feel stranded about where I can source my own RMBs if I don't have that protein available for him

Why do you have to wait 6 weeks? What if you see an immediate reaction? What if I start feeding my 2 year old retriever Turkey for a couple of days and I start seeing a reaction? Should I proceed with the 6 weeks?

We feed Milk with tortious

And Rather than Plane water we feed them Buttermilk

Great video! ❤️🥰George is a 7 month puppy and I’m making the transition from kibble to raw very slowly. So far he had GI or skin symptoms to turkey, raw egg and kefir. But one time I gave him cooked egg and he was absolutely fine. Do you know any other cases of animals that had a reaction to raw eggs but are completely fine when the egg is cooked?
