The gloopy stuff is most likely gelatin! It could indicate a lot of connective tissue in the meat. Skin, tendon, nose, feet....all the scrappy bits. Not a bad thing. Those bits are just as good for eating as the rest of the animal.

As of 25 July, 2022, Walmarts luncheon meat is $1.98 in the Seattle-Tacoma area. That's about 50 cents more since this video was made a year ago. I hope no one is dumb enough to believe that supposed 9.1% inflation rise as of the date of this posting. Thank you, Joe Biden!

Frying them definitely makes them taste better. I’ve tried them both also.

Those spam slicers are $10-$15 now. I will slice it for that fee. Most people slice it in the opposite direction. Just give it a quarter turn.

Thanks for the comparison Forrest. I love Spam and tried a very cheap version from Family Dollar years ago. Regretted it as soon as I tasted it. I'll have to give the Walmart brand a try.

Walmart bacon flavored Spam. Best on the market. In my opinion.

The WallyWorld has a lil more fat filler, it would seem. Hence the shrinkage? Idk if I've ever eaten Spam, but it doesn't look bad in a clutch. Can't be any different from the fried bologna sandwiches we used to eat as kids, amirite? 😉
