Learn basic sentence structure in English grammar and five simple sentence patterns you can use to make sentences. We will discuss the most common sentence pattern in English (subject + verb + object) with many examples. I'll also teach you about different parts of a sentence, including subjects, verbs, objects, adjectives, adverbs, and nouns.

At the end of this lesson, there will be a short quiz where you must identify the sentence pattern of 10 different sentences.

In this lesson, we'll review the following sentence structures:

1) Subject + Verb + Object (S-V-O Pattern) - Example: David loves dogs.

2) Subject + Verb (S-V Pattern) - Example: They are walking.

3) Subject + Verb + Adjective (S-V-A Pattern) - Example: My parents are kind.

4) Subject + Verb + Adverb (S-V-Adv Pattern) - Example: Turtles walk slowly.

5) Subject + Verb + Noun (S-V-N Pattern) - Example: My father was a butcher.

My favorite subject..!
I love this channel so much..!

As a former ghost-writer, it is most important to study this very thing, and of course, the person's vocabulary in order to sound like the authors themselves.

Voice development is key when you do this type of work. As you know ghost-writers receive no credit, and are very seldom mentioned in the acknowledgment section/page.
Too often, we are instructed to edit not only the related chapter, but sometimes the entire manuscript. If you let them get away with it, I am so down on love stories lol. (Calm down Jerry :)
What's the name of that song? "I'm so out of love." Or something like that.
You're the best out there;)

I was able to identify 6 out of ten. I missed all of the SVO answers, Identifying them as SVN-I must work on recognizing the difference between objects and nouns by remembering the rule you taught. Finally I missed #9 identifying it as an SVAdv instead of SV. This video was a very helpful, and I appreciate your channel so much! Thank you.
