Here in California, Lantana is a hearty shrub. I cut them way back in the winter and they come back like gangbusters and bloom all summer. September is definitely their best month here also.

They are ginormous here in the Mediterranean and we plant them everywhere, they’re almost evergreen ❤❤

I'm in Central FL zone 9B. They are great for gardens but I don't let them go to seed. Usually they get a haircut to keep them small and manageable.
On another note, I don't know if anyone will get this, but every time I hear "riparian", I always think of Mrs. Bucket from Keeping Up Appearances and her Riparian Picnic.

Hi Jim. This has been the most comprehensive info on Lantanas I’ve seen. First I had no idea they were poisonous. Second I had no idea this attracts hummingbirds. That explained why I suddenly saw one for the very first time in my NY suburban garden. I was truly surprised. ❤

I learned about Lantana from watching your channel for a few years now. It is by far - my most favorite annual (MI 6a/b) each and every year. It is the last thing I pull out of my beds due to their longevity and successful show of color. I can't say enough about them and always suggest it to fellow gardeners. If it weren't for you introducing it to your viewers - I honestly don't think I would have purchased them. Thank you, Jim and Stephany!

Hummingbirds, bees and butterflies have loved my Lantana over the years so this year I thought I might move them from their nursery pots in the courtyard into the garden this fall to see if they would come back next spring. I'll plant them as to what I hope will be permeance but hey this southern exposure in zone 8, upstate SC, is always a lottery shoot. Thank you for so much for the information.

I just planted a couple of sprigs of Miss Huff Lantana a few days ago and was graced by a monarch on them today! Officially my favorite as well now!

Houston here. I thought I had lost it all, several different colors, when we had the super deep freeze a couple of years ago. I was able to replace all of them with volunteers around the yard except the white.

I totally agree! I’m so glad we planted some lantanas because they’re bringing so much joy right now. I will never be without them.😊

Oh my, Sun Set is a Beautiful Lantana. Love Lantanas. Mine did not do well this summer. They were kinda sad, I was sad 🤦‍♀️ Next year. Have always been my favorite in our gardens. Thank you.

My favorite September plants are my Toad Lilies and my hardy hibiscus flowers. September can still be a pretty month!

Along with the pollinators, rabbits also love the flowers here in zone 5. I’m amazed at how large lantana grows in the south!

This has been my favorite plant I’ve planted this summer. I have the Luscious Citrus Blend Lantana in a garden box. It’s filled in so nicely and continually grows beautiful flowers. Obsessed. Will for sure be planting again.

My favorite annual here in zone 6B. Love the color combos and healthy season-long foliage. I WISH they overwintered this far north but I enjoy picking out new color combos each year.

We just moved from southern California to Florida. First thing I did was hunt down Lantana. 2 weeks here and 4 planted. It was an absolute go to in CA. They are fantastic hot weather staples. I did not know they are posinous in some ways. Enjoyed this video very much

My Lantana is going like gang busters here in Colorado, zone 6a. The Definitely an annual here. I overwintered mine in a pot last year and set it out this spring. It wintered over well. My impatiens are providing a great pop of color in the shaded part of my garden.
